END OF YEAR EVENTS - DATES - TIMES

Hello Parents, Family, and Friends
We've had a few changes to some very important end of year calendar events including a change in the date for Graduation. Please take a few minutes to look over the events, dates, and times.

A note about parking
- As most of you know, we have limited parking availability. Our new building will solve this for us, but until then: PLEASE park appropriately when attending all year-end events. DO NOT park in the fire lane (red curb). Campus police will be on scene throughout several of the events. Vehicles that are parked inappropriately will be ticketed and could be towed. We know it is frustrating and we are trying to accommodate you as best we can. Thank you. 

3rd and 5th grade Re-Testing -

Parents please take a minute to read this information about re-testing. We have been informed that some CCSD schools will have to retest 3rd and 5th graders who do not score "proficient."


  • Third graders will retest for ELA only 
  • Fifth graders will retest for ELA and Math


The retest will take place as long as we get test results by Monday, May 22nd. Right now the tentative testing dates are Tuesday May 23rd and Wednesday May 24th.

Tuesday May 9th

  • Field day for Kindergarten and 1st grade 8:20AM-1:30PM with a break during lunch times

Wednesday May 10th

  • Field day for 2nd and 3rd grade 8:20AM-12:00PM & 1:00PM-1:45PM

Thursday May 11th

  • Field day for 4th and 5th grade 8:20AM-11:20AM & 12:00PM-1:45PM

Monday May 15th Aristocrats play for grade levels

  • 4th/5th - 8:30-9:20
  • 2nd/3rd 10:30-11:20
  • K/1st 12:30-1:20

Friday May 19th

  • 5th grade GRADUATION at the Strand Theater in Downtown Marietta. Address: 117 N Park Sq NE, Marietta, GA 30060 Time: 8:30-10:30. Please stay tuned for details form the 5th grade team. You can look for parking spaces on the square and there is a parking deck adjacent to the strand. No flowers or balloons are allowed inside the theater. TWO tickets per student. No exceptions.
  • Kindergarten Awards. Times will come from the teacher. They are staggered throughout the day. Do NOT park in the fire lane. Your vehicle could be ticketed and towed. Campus police will be on campus to assist. Use the parking spaces provided.

Monday May 22nd - LOT GOING ON

  • 5th grade breakfast provided by PTA - Teachers and students only.
  • Core X (specials) awards - in the gym staggered throughout the day
  • 3rd grade ECON day/Picnic 12-2 on the Field
  • 5th grade picnic/sundaeland 12-2 at the playground/bus portal
  • 2nd grade awards 8:00AM in the auditorium
  • 1st grade awards 9:30 in the auditorium

Tuesday May 23rd - EARLY RELEASE

  • 1st grade ECON DAY 8:30-10:00 on the field
  • 3rd grade awards 8:00AM in the auditorium
  • 4th grade awards 9:15AM in the auditorium
  • AGAIN - PARENTS Do NOT park in the fire lane. Your vehicle could be ticketed and towed. Campus police will be on campus to assist. Use the parking spaces provided.

Brumby Operations

During the school year, registration for new students is daily from 8-9:30 - Parents: Kindergarten & New Student registration (click this link for information on what you need to register)

  • NO transportation changes can be made after 1:45PM daily
  • Please click here for a parking update letter
  • Brumby Elementary is a MANDATORY uniform school. Students will have select spirit days, but they will be announced ahead of time by the administrative team. Please visit our foundation page for uniform purchase.
  • Our building opens at 7AM. All visitors must report to the front office and sign in.

Cobb County requires 5 documents for enrollment. Please be sure to bring all documents with you:

  • Current Certificate of Immunization
  • Current Certificate of Vision, Hearing, Dental, and Nutritional Screening
  • Certified birth certificate
  • Two proofs of residency in School Attendance zone - 1 must be a lease or a mortgage
  • Social Security card or waiver
  • Also required are the names and phone numbers of the people authorized to pickup your child if you can not be reached, as well as your child's doctor information
