Information about School Supply Lists, including a new option this year...

Each grade level's school supplies are listed on the Bullard Elementary website.  If you chose to pre-order your child's school supplies during the Spring ordering window, these pre-ordered "school supply kits" will be available to pick up in the cafeteria during our Sneak-a-Peak/Open House event the morning of July 30.

New this year...if you missedthe deadline to pre-order your child's school supplies and have no time to shop now, no worries!  Bullard PTSA has partnered with The School Box to provide each grade level's school supplies neatly packaged in a kit and shipped directly to your home (or you can arrange pick up at their Town Center location). To order online, go to https://schoolboxkits.com/ and click 'Find Your School.' Select Georgia schools to find Bullard Elementary.  Please order now to ensure delivery in time for school.  We hope this additional option saves you time during the hustle and bustle of back-to-school time.

Combined for the 2019-2020 School Year!
July 30th
Two Sessions: 8:00-8:40 am or 8:50-9:30 am
Meet your new teacher and hear all about the academic and behavioral expectations for the school year.
You are free to choose the session that works best for your family’s schedule.  We are excited about this new format and look forward to providing more information in a timelier manner!

The next content acquisition process will include K-12 Health and PE, K-12 Visual Arts, K-12 General Music, Choral, Dance and Theatre, 6-12 Band and Orchestra, and 6-12 CTAE.

To ensure that teachers have ample time to review resources in Fall 2019, we are beginning the process now with the distribution of needs assessments to teachers, administrators, and parents. Having this information early means we can schedule the Phase 1 committee to meet over the summer to conduct a standards alignment of potential resources in preparation for Phase 2 in September 2019.   The links for the Needs Assessments are below.

The Cobb County School District is dedicated to a comprehensive school safety effort, and the
safety of our students and staff is our top priority. I am pleased to inform you that our district
has taken another very important step in safeguarding our school community by partnering
with SafeSchools Alert, a tip reporting service that allows students, staff, and parents to submit
safety concerns to our administration in several different ways:
• App: Search for “SafeSchools Alert” in the App Store to download for free
• Phone: 470.689.0298
• Text: 470.689.0298
• Email: 1760@alert1.us
• Web: http://1760.alert1.us
Each member of our school family can easily report tips on bullying, harassment, drugs,
vandalism, threats of violence, or other safety issues of concern. When a tip is submitted, be sure
to use the Cobb County School District identification code 1760 in your communication.
Each tip submitted through SafeSchools Alert will be immediately logged and routed to the
appropriate administrator to investigate and take appropriate action.

 Transportation Changes

Anytime that the primary means of transportation changes, a WRITTEN NOTE must be sent to the classroom teacher. This is in accordance with policy and ensures your child’s safety. Changes should only be made during the school day in emergency situations. No changes can be made after 1:20 p.m. Transportation changes sent through Email will not be accepted.

If your child needs to ride a DIFFERENT BUS home, a CCSD STUDENT BUS PASS must be completed and sent in to school.

Returning to School after an Absence?

A letter written by a parent/guardian or licensed physician must be presented to the Attendance Office on the day a student returns to school from an absence. The statement should indicate the reason for the absence, the number of days absent, work and/or home phone number where a parent can be reached and the parent’s signature. Attendance records can only be updated within 3 days of the student’s return to school after the absence.
