A Letter from Our Principal
To Our Dowell ES Family:
There is a news story circulating about a young student who was
allegedly maltreated by an administrator at a Dowell Elementary
School. Please be assured that the school being referred
to is NOT our Dowell ES, but a school located in the state of
Maryland. I wanted to address this situation with the
Dowell community to clear up misinformation. I hope that
you will continue to support the wonderful things that are going
on here at Dowell and help me in promoting OUR Dowell as a
school of excellence!!

New Security System
Our school has a new security system
for entering the building through the front doors. With this new
system, visitors need to "Buzz-In" after 8:10 AM. Please view

by
Cobb County Public Library
The web site for Cobb’s libraries is
www.cobbcat.org. Use
this web address to go online and find out more about the summer
reading program. To participate in the public library
portion of the summer reading program, students need only fill
out the reading log with the books they read during the summer
and return the completed log at the end of the summer to one of
Cobb’s public libraries.

Information Regarding Medicine
Parents, if your child needs to
take either prescription medicine or an over the counter
medicine you
must bring the medicine in and sign the proper form
with the school nurse. Please refer to the CCSD policy
