Dear King Springs Families,

Throughout this school year we have continued to learn about Dual Language Immersion programs. Our School Council, made up of parents and teachers, visited several school in Atlanta that are similar to King Springs. A group of teachers has been involved with a book study about dual language immersion. We have kept the conversation going throughout meetings with families and staff members. After 9 months of discussions and learning, we have concluded that it would benefit more students to offer a foreign language as part of the school day rather than offer an immersion program that would only touch approximately 25% of students each year. We will work with the school district to determine options for offering foreign language at King Springs.
