The McCleskey Foundation grade level T shirts will be on sale every Monday and Friday in the skylight.  The cost for the T shirts is $10. 

 


Iowa Assessments and Cognitive Abilities Test

 

On October 9, 2014, 7th grade students will take the Cognitive Abilities Test, and from October 13 to October 16, 2014 7th grade students will take the Iowa Assessments™.

 


School bus routes for the 2014-2015 school year are now available on the CCSD web site at www.cobbk12.org.

Runs and maps will be posted at your local school for review prior to the first day of school.

During the months of August and September if temperatures reach 90 degrees or higher students may bring water in containers with a screw on lid to drink on the bus.

Effective July 1, 2014, all children born on or after January 1, 2002 who are entering 7th grade, and new entrants* to Georgia schools in grades 8-12 will be required to have Tdap (Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis) and meningococcal conjugate vaccines before entering school for the 2014-2015 school year. Visit Cobb Public Health or your private physician to get these vaccines NOW.

*New entrants include anyone that is entering Georgia schools for the first time or is returning to a Georgia school after being gone for more than 12 months or one school year.

Parents Encouraged To Review New Common Core Standards

The Common Core Georgia Performance Standards (CCGPS) are being implemented. Learn more about how these new standards will better prepare Cobb County students for future college and career choices on a special section of the District website.


Clubs and Activities

Intramurals begin at 8:00. Please enter at the front and remain in the lower lobby until a PE teacher comes to get you. No students are admitted to intramurals after 8:00.

Robotics - Mondays and Thurdays until 5:30

Garden Club - Wednesdays until 5:15

Fitness Friday - every Friday @ 8:00

Yearbook - yearbook staff only Thursdays @ 8:00

NJHS - 1st & 3rd Tuesdays @ 8:15

Hat Days - every Wednesday - pay $1, wear a hat for Relay for Life

Environmental Club - begins Sept. 19 after school until 5:15. See Mrs. Ghosh for a schedule
