PROGRESS REPORTS

In our continued effort to be environmentally responsible and paperless we will be moving away from sending progress reports each six week grading period beginning in the second semester.  Parents have the ability to regularly monitor their child’s academic progress using ParentVue which alleviates the necessity of paper progress reports.  Students in danger of receiving a D or an F at the 6 or 12 week grading period will receive a progress report for that particular class.”

DUE TO THE INCLEMENT WEATHER, PROGRESS REPORTS(for those students with a D or F)  WILL BE SENT HOME MONDAY MARCH 2.

Parents of McCleskey Middle School-McCleskey is once again participating in the Gimme 5 for Education campaign. Help McCleskey reach a goal of 100% participation by giving a $5 tax-deductible contribution to Cobb Schools Foundation, the only non-profit organization that supports all of our schools through scholarships, teacher impact grants and programs.

Your student should bring home a campaign donation envelope and a Gimme 5 letter. Please place your donation in the envelope and place in the school's safe.  All checks should be made payable to "McCleskey Middle School".  Also, as an incentive, each student who participates will be placed in a drawing for a pair of AMC movie passes!

Thank you in advance for your participation!

From the CCSD Director of Accountability and Research:

CCRPI

The State of Georgia has released the corrected 2014 CCRPI scores for middle schools.  Our corrected score is 86.9 down 1 point from 2013.  This score puts us at the 7th highest scoring middle school out of the 25 middle schools in Cobb (there were 2 schools at 6th place) and the 2nd highest in Area 4 out of 6 middle schools.

Understanding the calculations for scoring the CCRPI can be found at the CCSD web site.

Parents,

Please take a few minutes to complete the Climate Survey.  The resulting information assists us to continually improve.  Thank you for your input.

Georgia Parent Survey

The Georgia Parent Survey is also modeled after the student survey and contains 24 questions.  A Spanish version of the parent survey will be available soon.  Parents will be able to complete the survey using their personal computers, smartphones or iPads.   All parents should be encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used to calculate the School Climate Star Rating .  Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis.  Data results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online.  The URL address for the Georgia Parent Survey is posted below.
