Congratulations to the Class of
2013!!
Graduation 2013
Graduation ceremonies for the North Cobb High School class of
2013 will be held on Friday, May 24th at 2:30 p.m. at the
KSU Convocation Center.

All parents and guests (including infants and
children) attending the ceremony must have a ticket to enter the
KSU Convocation Center.
Parking is available on the Kennesaw State
University campus in the Central Parking Deck (#42 on the campus
map) for the graduates. Parking on the day of graduation will
cost $10 per car.
The Commencement is a dignified, solemn
ceremony designed to honor all
graduates in the Class of 2013.
Possession of any disruptive objects (noise
makers, beach balls, etc.) or disruptive behavior may lead to
immediate removal from the ceremony.
We ask the cooperation of all who attend
commencement to help make it the dignified event it is meant to
be.
Please refrain from any inappropriate noises
that might detract from the dignity of the ceremony.
Commencement
Photographs
To maintain the dignity of the ceremony,
guests must remain in their seats throughout the Commencement
ceremony. Only hand-held cameras that do not block the view of
other guests may be used and guests may not walk into the aisles
to take photographs.
We have arranged for Cady Studios to take an
individual photograph of each graduate as they receive their
diploma. Cady Studios will mail each graduate a proof of this
“diploma” photo and ordering information.
Commencement Video
Professional Video Imaging will be recording
the ceremony and is offering copies on DVD for sale to graduates
and their parents.

Daniel Kinslow To Compete in National SkillsUSA Culinary
Arts Competition, With Backing From Kennesaw Business
Association

The Kennesaw Business Association (KBA) gives a generous
donation to the Culinary Department at North Cobb High
School. North Cobb student, Daniel Kinslow will be
representing Cobb County at the National SkillsUSA culinary
competition in Kansas City this summer. Greg Carter from
California Dreaming and Debbie Underkofler, Former KBA
President presented Daniel and Chef Xan Payton, NCHS
Culinary Teacher a check for $2,000 on behalf of the KBA to
cover the expenses involved with this trip.

North Cobb High School named an
AP Honor School for 2013!
The Georgia Department of Education recently announced the 2013
(AP) Honor Schools, recognizing our school for increased access
to rigorous AP coursework. We were recognized in the
following categories:
AP STEM School
- Schools with students testing in at least two (2) AP math
courses and two (2) AP science courses(AP Calculus AB, AP
Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP
Environmental Science, AP Physics B, AP Physics C, AP Computer
Science)
AP STEM Achievement School
- Schools with students testing in at least 2 AP math courses
and 2 AP science courses and at least 40% of the exam scores on
AP math and AP science exams earning scores of three (3) or
higher.
AP Honor School/Merit
School -
Schools with at least 20% of the student population taking AP
exams and at least 50% of all AP exams earning scores of three
(3) or higher.
