Power Up and Read! Parents, even though
summer has not officially arrived, The Summer Reading Program
begins on Monday, May 4th! The students at Tritt
Elementary are trying to help break a world record! The goal
this year for schools around the world is to break last year’s
reading world record of 304,749,681 minutes! It’s easy to
participate. Each student will receive a unique username. Once
they have received this information they can go online to
www.scholastic.com/summer (The image above links to the
site, too.)to log their minutes. In the meantime, please have
your students record their minutes read each night on a piece of
paper or in their planner, so that when they do get their logins
they can record them online. For more information visit Mrs.
Bates’ Summer Reading Blog at
email Mrs. Bates (firstname.lastname@example.org).
