2017-18 School Choice

The Cobb County School District is again offering School Choice (HB 251 and SB10) transfers for the 2017-2018 school year.

Individual school capacity information and applications will be available beginning February 1, 2017 on the District website.

Deadline for applying is Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

School Climate Survey 2016-17

The Georgia Parent Survey is available for all parents to take through March 3, 2017.

You may complete the survey using your personal computer, smartphone, or tablet. We encourage you to participate because the results will be used as part of the School Climate Star Rating and will be submitted to the GA Dept. of Education.

This is your chance to have a voice and let us know how we are doing.

Tribute ads in the yearbook are available and can include photos alongside a personal message to your son or daughter. There are a limited number of pages available in the 2017 Wheeler High School ROAR yearbook. Click HERE to see what options are available or just to order a yearbook!


Junior Advisement Night is taking place Tuesday, February 28th at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium.

This is a brand new event this year, and is critical for creating students' schedules for next year. This is intended for all students to attend with their parent.

You will learn all about the scheduling process, how to select courses, and you will get to ask questions and get advice about the best courses to make the best schedule.

We will follow up with every student the week of March 20th to get their course requests entered.

The goal is to have each student represented on their Advisement Night. Please click the link below that corresponds to your grade level to indicate if a representative from your family will be attending the event.

Sophomore Advisement Night, March 7th, 6pm

Freshmen Advisement Night, March 16th, 6 pm


Prom "Night at the Museum" will take place Saturday, March 25th from 6pm - 10 pm at The High Museum!

Ticket Prices: $80 for Seniors & Juniors who have paid their class dues. It is $100 if you have not paid dues or are not a Wheeler Sr. or Jr.

Deadline for paying dues to receive a discounted prom ticket is March 1st.

Tickets will be sold March 8th & March 15th during all lunches, as well as the entire week before Prom (March 20-24).

If you are bringing a NON-Wheeler Student to prom there is a guest contract that must be completed and approved by the Wheeler Staff. Deadline for the contract to be turned in is March 17th.

It is time to "Save the Date" for the Spring Senior Project Presentations!!

We need Judges from the community!
Thursday, April 20th, is the evening to reserve on your calendar.

We ask that you arrive here at Wheeler by 5:00 pm. Dinner will be served, there will be a short training, and judging will begin at 6:00 pm. You should be home by 9:00 pm.

Please wear professional business attire as our students are required to dress for business as they make their presentations.

Video Production Application for 2017-2018 School Year

If you are interested in taking Video Production during the 2017-2018 school year, and have not taken any Audio-Video class, you must fill out a course application.

Cap/Gown Orders

SENIORS, Herff Jones orders can be done online at Herff Jones or call them at 770-795-1626. The  price will increase each month you wait to order. Don't delay!!!

Tutoring & After School Homework Center/Computer Lab

After school tutoring in the Media Center is back! It is 3:30-4:30pm through April 13th.

Mondays- Social Studies
Tuesdays- English
Wednesdays- Science
Thursdays- Math

There will be no tutoring March 6-9 & April 17-20!

Any student can attend these tutoring sessions!

There is also an After School Homework Center & Computer Lab available to Wheeler students at St. Catherine's every Tues. & Thurs. 3:30-6:30pm and will start up after the holiday break in January. Contact harriettspyburn@gmail.com or call St. Catherine's 770-971-2839 for more information.

 AP Exam Registration is open

AP Exam Registration is now open. All students who plan on taking an AP Exam must register by 11:59 pm, February 28, 2017. Please click HERE to register.

Class of 2017 Graduation Ticket Request Form Now Available

Students in the class of 2017 may now begin requesting additional tickets for the graduation ceremony Wednesday, May 24th at 6:30 pm.  For more details, click here.

Junior and Senior Class Dues

Dues for the Junior and Senior Classes for the 2016-2017 school year are as follows:


Jan. 5 – March 1: $40 (includes shirts while supplies last)


Deadline will be March 1!!! Juniors and Seniors must pay dues by March 1 to receive a discounted prom ticket price!

Free prep for the NEW SAT and PSAT is now available. The College Board and Khan Academy have partnered to offer Free AP, SAT, and PSAT prep. This prep includes practice tests for the New PSAT and SAT.

ADAP (Alcohol and Drugs Awareness Program)
