and the $2000 College Scholarships to Jason McElrath & Abigail Halim.
Wheeler named an AP Merit School
Congratulations to the students and staff of Wheeler, which the state Department of Education has named an AP Merit School for the 2008-09 school year. This honor goes to schools in which at least 20 percent of the students take at least one AP exam and the students score 3 or better on at least half the AP exams they take. Wheeler is one of four Cobb County schools to earn the honor. Click here for the Cobb County Schools press release.
Both of the two 2009 state winners of the Siemens Award for Advanced Placement were from Wheeler High School, Jason McElrath and Abigail Halim. They will each receive a $2,000 college scholarship from the Siemens Foundation.
Georgia High School Graduation Tests
The Georgia High School Graduation Tests are scheduled for March 22-25, 2010. Passing these tests is one requirement for graduation.
