EOC Schedule

Georgia Milestone 2016 EOC testing begins on May 2nd through May 19th.  The testing occurs from 8:20 – 11:20 each day.

EOC Practice

In preparation for May’s administration for the EOC’s, we want to provide students with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the types of questions they will encounter on the EOC.  The practice link is only available Monday - Friday from 7 AM – 10 PM.  Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Christian Barnes at 770-578-3266 Ext. 031 or by email.

EOC Test Practice
1. Use Google Chrome click here.
2. Click on the “Test Practice” link.
3. Click on the “Online Tools Training” for End-of-Course (EOC).
4. Click on “EOC Test Practice” and then click on “Standard Online Tools.” 5. Enter login information that’s listed above the empty username/password boxes.  If you don’t see the login information your username is “GeorgiaHS” and your password is “Training”.

AP Exam and Score Info

In July, AP scores will be available online. To get AP scores, students must sign up for a College Board account at apscore.org. Even if you already have an account, you will need to register this year’s AP number from the card torn out at the AP pre-administration.  For more information and to access additional resources, including pre-written tweets and Facebook posts, visit collegeboard.org/shareap.

Remember that all students must report for exams by 7:30 if the exam starts at 8:00, or 11:30 if the exam starts at 12:00. You only need to bring pencils, a calculator if necessary for your exam and a packed lunch if you have 2 exams on the same day. Please don’t bring book bags. Cell phones are not allowed in the testing room. All exams are given at Eastside Baptist Church on Lower Roswell Rd. All students will be excused due to testing on their various testing date(s) for the entire day.  They are not expected at school. They have the option to go home after the 8:00 exam ends, or not arrive until 11:30 for the 12:00 exam.

Summer Counseling Hours

For the months of June and July, the counseling office will be open as follows:
-Tuesdays and Thursdays
-8:00 am - 12:00 pm
-Closed Week of July 4th
-Open Summer Enrollment (No need for appointments)

Counseling Office will reopen on July 18th with all counselors returning on the 20th.

Award Winners for Aspirations in Computing

Congratulations to Victoria Kraj for being named a Georgia Affiliate Award Winner for "Aspirations in Computing" from the National Center For Women & Information Technology (NCWIT).  Congratulations also to Laura Zhang, who was a Georgia Affiliate Runner Up.

Schedule Process and Schedule Change Timeline for 2016-2017

Wednesday, May 4 – Student Course Request Profiles will be distributed to students in Homeroom to make any changes to their requests if needed.  This will be the last opportunity for students to change their course requests for the 2016-2017 school year.  Additional changes will only be made based if adjustments are required based on students’ final grades this year.

Wednesday, June 8 TENTATIVE – this is the date when we hope to give access in StudentVue for students to see their schedules online.  At this time, a schedule change request form will be posted online for students to complete if they have a necessary schedule changes based on specified parameters.

June 8 – June 17 – Schedule change request window.  All requested changes must be submitted online via a link that will be available on the Wheeler website.

Friday, June 17 – Last day to submit a schedule change request.

Date TBD - Wildcat Daze – No schedule changes will be handled during Wildcat Daze.

Monday, August 1 – First day of school.  Our goal is that all schedules will be perfect on this day.

Post-Graduation Training Opportunities

In partnership with Goodwill Industries of North Georgia, the Cobb Career, Technical and Agricultural Education division will host a community night highlighting post-graduation training opportunities for students. Goodwill Industries of North Georgia will offer a seven week training program in flooring installation beginning May 31st.    Students will learn about the training and scholarship opportunities at one of the two community events to be held from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at:

North Cobb High School Theater
April 20th

South Cobb High School Media Center April 21st

Students who successfully complete their training will earn certifications and be guaranteed a job interview with a top flooring company.

Practice for the New PSAT

PSAT, SAT, and AP Prep through Khan Academy

Free prep for the NEW SAT and PSAT is now available. The College Board and Khan Academy have partnered to offer Free AP, SAT, and PSAT prep. This prep includes practice tests for the New PSAT and SAT.

The new PSAT will be administered in October. The new SAT will begin Sprin 2016.
