Buses

Dismissal options are listed below.

Please review your child’s dismissal frequently and make any necessary updates/changes in ParentVUE no later than 1:30 PM each day. We do not accept written dismissal notes. All changes must be made in ParentVUE.

Please do NOT email to your child’s teacher regarding transportation changes. Teachers may be absent or unable to check email before dismissal. If no change of transportation is made in ParentVue, your child will be sent home by his/her usual method of transportation.

ParentVUE is not used by Clubs. If you change your transportation on how your child gets home from clubs, you will need to directly communicate with the club sponsor. Any questions about clubs, should go to the club sponsor.

You can help us plan ahead by checking and updating your child's inclement weather transportation in ParentVue.

  • Log in to your Parent Vue account
  • Go to Student Information
  • Go to Dismissal Change
  • Click on View/Change Afterschool dismissal
  • Set EMERGENCY MODE

Early Checkouts

These must be made by 1:45 pm.

Bus

We encourage every student to ride the bus whenever possible...both to and from school.  Cobb County School District offers bus service for students who live outside walking distance.  One amazing fact about riding the bus:  A student is never tardy if they ride the bus!  Some other benefits are

  • The bus ride provides social interaction time for students.
  • Students arrive at school with ample time to buy and eat breakfast.

Carpool Pickup

  • All carpool students will wait for their ride in a designated area.
  • Murdock's duty personnel will escort the student to your car.
  • There is only one line for carpool.
  • Please refrain from trying to pass the cars in front of you.
  • Please refrain from using your cell phone when your child is entering or exiting the car.
  • Follow the instructions/directions of teachers on duty.

Walkers

For students who are within walking distance of the school, they may walk from their house to school.

  • Students ages 9 and above may walk without an adult.
  • Students ages 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Thank you for your help in making safety a number one priority!
