North Cobb Celebrates 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

September 19, 2025—On a home football night that concluded with the Warriors' first region win of the season, North Cobb High School began the evening by celebrating its most recent members of the school's Athletic Hall of Fame. Six extraordinary individuals—and one dedicated couple—were introduced as the 2025 Hall of Fame Class before the Warriors took the field against region-rival Walton. It was an exciting evening filled with pride, memories, community spirit, and ultimately, a Warrior victory.
From record-setting athletes and championship coaches to devoted supporters who haven’t missed a Friday night in over fifty years, this year’s class reflects the heart of what it means to be a Warrior: excellence, leadership, and an unshakable bond with the North Cobb community. With distinguished guests, alumni, and past honorees in attendance, the evening underscored the school’s proud legacy of achievement both on and off the field.
This year’s North Cobb inductees include:
Kyrie’ Chandler (Class of 2015) made her mark as the all-time leading scorer in North Cobb women’s basketball before excelling at High Point University and USC Aiken. Throughout her high school career, she accumulated over 1400 points, 300 rebounds, 300 assists, and 300 steals. She carried her competitive drive into the legal world, graduating magna cum laude from Georgia State College of Law and now practicing as an associate litigation attorney.
Alec Clifford (Class of 2011) transitioned from setting distance-running records at North Cobb to Georgia Tech, where he balanced elite athletics with academic distinction. Today, he channels his discipline into engineering at Amazon Prime Video, where he has helped launch major sports streaming initiatives, including Thursday Night Football and NBA coverage.
Nick Miller (Class of 2013) was a versatile football standout, earning national attention before competing at Furman University and contributing significantly to their football program’s success. As a three-year varsity letter winner, Nick's versatility and leadership on the field drew scholarship offers from renowned institutions such as Yale, Mercer, the Air Force Academy, and Georgetown. His career has since expanded to public service, where he applies his leadership and strategic mindset to shaping policy and community impact.
Jimi (Sprayberry, 1973) and Regina Richards (NCHS, 1973), known as the heartbeat of Warrior Nation, embody what it means to live and breathe North Cobb football. From a first date at a 1971 game to more than 500 Friday nights together in the stands, their story is inseparable from the team’s history. For 54 consecutive years, Jimi and Regina have held their "Friday night date" at North Cobb games, home or away. Their dedication has spanned generations, leaving an indelible mark on the Warrior community.
Brett Stanton (Class of 1977) went from All-County defensive end and track athlete to a decorated collegiate player at Newberry College, before dedicating nearly 40 years to education. He began as a social studies teacher and coach at Lassiter High School, and eventually transitioned into school administration. His education career spanned the roles from athletic director, assistant principal, and principal at several high schools to superintendent at two school districts. His leadership has influenced schools across Georgia and Alabama, earning him national recognition.
Kristen Stoll Klinger (Class of 2009) built her reputation as a cornerstone of North Cobb softball. Her senior year, she was named First Team All-Region, honored as the Marietta Journal Athlete of the Week, and received the Atlanta Journal Sports Award Certificate of Merit. She continued her softball career at Berry College with a .403 batting average and exceptional defensive record. Kristen's consistency and excellence made her one of the most decorated players in both programs’ histories.
Angela Ucci Urban (Class of 2003) was a committed member of the NCHS orchestra and the Beta Club, actively participating throughout all four years. She also excelled as a gymnast and a competition cheerleader. Her unique experiences in high school were blended into a unique and groundbreaking career that helped establish Acrobatics & Tumbling as an NCAA-recognized sport. With multiple national championships as a coach at Oregon and Baylor, she now leads the sport’s growth nationwide as Education Director for the NCATA.
As the ceremony concluded and the inductees were honored, the 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame class stood as proof that Warrior tradition is about much more than victories. It's about perseverance, leadership, service, and lifelong bonds to the North Cobb community.
