LMS 8th Grade T-Shirt Order Form 2017-2018

As we begin a new school year, we must continue our focus on improving student achievement.  This comes from bringing our family, school and community together to support our teachers & administrators, as well as involving our parents in the school-based decision making process. One of the best ways to accomplish this is through an active School Council.  Nominations are NOW OPEN for the LMS School Council!!  We are looking for parents that want to provide advice and recommendations to our principal, and, when appropriate, the local school board of education and local school superintendent, on matters related to student achievement and school improvement.  Please complete the Nomination Form (for yourself or another parent) and submit by August 11th.

Dress Code 2017-2018

“Parents, students must place their cell phones in their lockers in the morning and it must remain there throughout the day. This effort is to deter students from texting, taking pictures or videos, or participating in any other distracting behaviors that prevent them from focusing on instruction. Students will be able to retrieve their phones at the end of the day before going home. Please do not text students during the day. Messages can be given to the front office for delivery to your child in cases of emergency.”

To our Families:

Cobb County School District Title I Department appreciates the partnerships we have with our families. As the parent/guardian of a child attending a Title I school you are an important part of the Title I team. Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of the family engagement program and activities in our schools and those provided by the District. The focus of all Title I programs is to help eligible students meet the same high academic achievement standards expected of all children, regardless of their socioeconomic status and background. The following surveys are confidential and will be used to assist us with future planning for family engagement initiatives and events.

We appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking the time to complete the survey.
