meet at Palmer once a week.
Destiny’s Daughters of Promise is grounded in leadership
development and basic life skills that serve to help teen girls
discover their strength, potential and leadership abilities.
The projects they do are designed to connect school
learning with real-world experiences.

Palmer Middle is proud to announce Mrs. Jacquie Mericka-Brand as
its 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Mericka-Brand is
the Science Department Lead and teaches 8th grade.
Mrs. Mandy Woodham is Palmer's 2016-2017 Classified Employee of
the Year. Mrs. Woodham works as the Media Center parapro.

Advanced Ed Parent Survey – We Need Your Input!
Parents are encouraged to
participate in the AdvancED
Parent Survey. The data from this survey will inform
the school and the district about parents’ opinions about our
school. Survey responses are anonymous and will be
submitted directly to AdvancED for analysis. Individual
data results will not be available to the public and will not be
posted online. You may use any personal device to complete
this survey. The AdvancED Parent Survey will be open
February 22 – April 29.

Palmer Academic Team Advances to GA State Semi-Finals!
The Palmer Academic Team won first place among the top two
Region 2 schools, and moves on to the Georgia State
Semi-Finals on January 30th. Good luck!

Congratulations to teacher Tami
McIntire and family, one of the prestigious winners of the Cobb Tank Grant

Rally at Roswell Street Baptist Church. She was cheered at

Palmer Re-Validated as an
AVID National Demonstration School
Palmer Middle School officially received re-validation as the only AVID National Demonstration School in the state of Georgia!!
Our AVID program met the standards for supporting the program effectiveness and student progress. The AVID program is designed to
increase students’ achievement, develop skills in writing for learning, achieve success in honor classes, and become an effective
learner in groups.
