Barber Middle School is proud to be a part of
Relay for Life! Throughout the year, we raise
money to support this cause. On
May 11, 2012, the culminating overnight event
will take place at Jim R. Miller Park. This year's theme
is "Tailgating for a Cause!"
We will be cheering on loved ones who have survived
cancer and remembering those we have lost. All Barber
Middle School students, family, and staff are invited to
attend! We will have a tent set up and will be grilling
out from 5:30-10:30. All students must accompanied by an
adult.
There is a
limited amount of
YEARBOOKS remaining. Yearbooks may
be purchased IN SCHOOL ONLY. Send your payment of $45 to school
with your student. Don't delay, buy your yearbook TODAY!
JUST IN! New
changes to the
Cobb County Fire Lane ordinance
that affects schools.
These changes will be enforced
starting on April 9, 2012.
Congratulations to
our cafeteria manager, Donna Boik, who won a grant from the
Georgia School Nutrition Association! Mrs. Boik created a
Healthy Eating Plan which includes the purchase of a popcorn
machine to use during incentives and activities. Well done, Mrs.
Boik!

 Destiny’s
Daughters of Promise Inc.
Destiny’s Daughters
of Promise (DDP) is now accepting applications for this
school year. DDP is a mentor and leadership program for
middle school girls in Cobb County. Our group meets
every Tuesday at Barber Middle School in Acworth, GA. We are
currently accepting applications for the 2012-2013 school
year. Interested students should request a
recommendation from a teacher, counselor or school
administrator.
Recruitment
