Mandatory Meeting for SAT Prep Class

There will be a mandatory meeting for parents of any CHS juniors interested in entering the lottery for a spot in the Soar to 1600 (formerly Success 1600) SAT preparation class in the Learning Commons at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 15. Parents must attend this meeting in order to guarantee student eligibility for the lottery. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Jones at thomas1.jones@cobbk12.org .

Campbell Drama Presents: Nunsense

Campbell Drama Geeks proudly present Nunsense, a hilarious talent show staged by five survivors at the Little Sisters of Hoboken nunnery. The music pulses with merriment and an unabashed desire to make you laugh, with songs and spontaneous comic interludes paced at break-neck speed. Come join the fun:

GA Parent Survey 2018-2019

Parents please complete the 24 question survey using computers, smartphones, or tablets. This survey will be used as a part of the calculation for the School Climate Star Rating. Dancing with the Stars: Smyrna

Tickets go on sale this Thursday, November 1st for Dancing with the Stars Smyrna, a show taking place on January 19, 2019 at the Cobb Civic Center. This show will benefit the Campbell HS Athletic Program. For more information: www.dwtssmyrna.com.

LGE School Spirit Cards

The LGE Community Credit Union (LGE) has partnered with CCSD to provide High School Spirit Cards. These are VISA Credit/Debit Cards with unique high school mascot logos. LGE will contribute to Campbell High school for every LGE Campbell credit card that is opened. To learn more, click here.

AP Honors School

Campbell High School has been recognized for the following AP Honors for 2018: AP STEM School; AP STEM Achievement School; AP Humanities School; and AP Access and Support School.


SAT Prep Courses

Rising seniors planning to take the SAT one more time in the fall AND rising juniors looking for some extra practice before the PSAT/NMSQT in October have an opportunity to take a discounted Applerouth SAT prep class on the CHS campus this fall. Playful Piano: Smyrna

Campbell Art students create a “Playful Piano” for installation in downtown Smyrna. See the local coverage below!


ELL Star Student

CHS Senior, Moises Alas, was selected as one of 10 Star ELL students in the State of Georgia. Moises is a junior with a 3.9 GPA. He entered the IEL program last year and was able to exit IEL and ELL classes within one year. He will be recognized at a reception at the DOE on May 7. Kudos to Moises and his Star teacher, Carla Pearson!


Free Library Access

All students now have a Cobb County Public Library Card. It is their Campbell Student ID! Students may use this card to visit the 16 Cobb branches for book checkout, equipment use, computer use, and internet browsing to download books and use the research databases at Cobb Library Pass. Construction of Campbell's new 3000 seat gymnasium is in progress. Visitor parking spaces are available in Wills lot, Tiger lot, and the football stadium. MAP


School Transfer for Siblings

Parents of a student who has a sibling already enrolled in a District school through an approved transfer may apply for a younger sibling to attend the same school in accordance with District Administrative Rule JBCD-R. This provision attempts to address siblings enrolled in different schools at the same time due to an approved transfer. A sibling is defined as a brother, sister, step-brother, or step-sister living in the same household and who otherwise meets the requirements for enrollment. The application window for the 2018-19 school year will be open from January 4, 2018 through January 31, 2018.
