Fair Oaks Dual Language Immersion
Cobb County students have the
opportunity to participate on the Dual Language Immersion
Program (DLI). Dual Language Immersion is a way to learn academic content while acquiring another language at the same time. The goals of the program are for the students to develop literacy skills in both English and the target language while attaining a high level of academic achievement that is at or above their grade level in all content areas and to develop a world cultural sensitivity.
Fair Oaks chose Spanish as the immersion language for the
upcoming school year.
Office 365 is a
FREE resource available to all CCSD students. This
resource gives students 1TB of storage to save content to the
cloud and provides students with the opportunity to collaborate
on school work with peers and teachers utilizing Microsoft
products. Because Office 365 is accessible from any device
with access to the internet, Office 365 makes possible a new
level of work collaboration and builds foundational skills to
prepare students to excel in our digital world!
In order for
students to use Office 365, parents must provide digital consent
for their child to utilize Office 365. This can be done by
choosing an option in an email from the district from
Office365ParentalConsent or via the ParentVUE webpage. If
you have not received an email or do not have a ParentVUE
account, please contact your child's school to update your
child's enrollment information. Consent must be given by
the enrolling adult.
There are three options to choose from
when providing 365 consent:
- Child receives full access to Office 365 and you can download
free desktop software on home computers or apps on devices.
Downloads are not required for your child to utilize 365.
- You can download desktop software on your home computers, but
you do not want your child to have access to Office 365 online
software and cloud based storage.
- You do not want your child to have access to Office 365 or
want to download free desktop software on home computers or apps
