Georgia Milestones Preparation

Wildcats! Now is the perfect time to start preparing for the Milestone Test. Maybe you have test anxiety, or you just want to do your very best on the test. To help you be prepared, the following site offers students the opportunity to practice testing online. Parents are also welcome to visit the site to get a first-hand view of how students will be completing the Milestone Test. The items on the test are general and organized into three grade bands: grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school. Content areas covered are English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

Take the Practice Milestone Test to Be Prepared!

National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)

Griffin Middle School will participate in the NAEP on February 16, 2017. Completely confidential, the test is administered by the U.S. Department of Education, and it is different than the GA assessment because it provides a common measure of student achievement across the country via The Nation's Report Card. This report card provides information about student achievement to educators, parents, policymakers, and the public to help assist in improving our students' education. Approximately sixty-two of Griffin's 8th graders, randomly selected, will take the NAEP on February 16, 2017. On or about January 24, 2017, parents of those randomly selected students will receive a letter which will outline in further detail information about the NAEP test. Anyone with questions, may contact Dr. Candace English, 8th Grade Principal, at

Griffin parents, please complete the School Climate Survey at the following link. All data from the survey is anonymous and submitted directly to the GA Department of Education. Thank you for your participation in helping us make a greater Griffin for our students.
