Georgia Milestones Preparation
Wildcats! Now is the perfect time to start preparing for the
Milestone Test. Maybe you have test anxiety, or you just want to
do your very best on the test. To help you be prepared, the
following site offers students the opportunity to practice
testing online. Parents are also welcome to visit the site to
get a first-hand view of how students will be completing the
Milestone Test. The items on the test are general and organized
into three grade bands: grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school.
Content areas covered are English Language Arts, Mathematics,
Science, and Social Studies.

Cobb County School District Title I Department appreciates the
partnerships we have with our families. As the parent/guardian
of a child attending a Title I school you are an important part
of the Title I team. Your input is vital in the planning and
implementation of the family engagement program and activities
in our schools and those provided by the District. The focus of
all Title I programs is to help eligible students meet the same
high academic achievement standards expected of all children,
regardless of their socioeconomic status and background. The

HAKUNA MATATA! Griffin Middle School
to present “The Lion King, Jr.” in May.
your calendars now for May 4, 5 and 6, when more than 50
talented Griffin students will bring the Disney classic, “The
Lion King, Jr.” to life in the Griffin Theatre under the
guidance of our dedicated faculty directorial team. Performances
will begin at 7:00 pm each night and discounted advance tickets
will be available for $8 in the school store and through all
cast members right after Spring Break.
Tickets at the door will be $10.
Please consider supporting our students and promoting your
business by purchasing an ad in our commemorative show program.
With three performances and up to 300 patrons each night, you’ll
get great exposure!

8th Grade Gala Dance
TICKETS ON SALE!!
The 8th grade dance will be held at the
Smyrna Community Center on April 28th from 7-10 pm.
Permission slips and drop off/pick up instructions
will be sent home the week of April 10th.
Tickets will be sold at lunch the week of April 17th.
The $15 admission covers the cost of food, drinks,
DJ, and a photo booth.
