Cougar News
Are you collecting "pop tabs" to help families staying in
Atlanta area Ronald McDonald Houses? You just need to remove the
tabs from soda (and other) cans and save them in a plastic bag
to bring to Keheley. By doing this, we are helping
families with very sick children and helping our environment at
the same time! (Don't forget to recycle the rest of
the can!)
We're fundraising and recycling for a great cause - childhood
cancer! Please send your used printer cartridges & toner, cell
phones, digital cameras, PDAs and MP3 Players to the media
center to be recycled. All of these items are accepted in
working or nonworking condition. The environment benefits by
keeping toxins out of our ground water and air,
CURE Childhood Cancer
benefits with funding and public awareness, and Keheley
benefits from the funds raised. Everybody wins! Thanks for your
support.
The Cobb County Fire Marshall has changed what used to be a
yellow curb in front and back areas of Keheley
into a red curb
(fire lane). The fire marshall will be giving tickets to
anyone parked in the fire lane (noted by the red curb) and
the cost of a ticket is about $135.00. If you stop along the red
curb and "run in" to drop off or pick up something, you are in
danger of receiving a ticket and fine. Please take this
seriously as there have already been tickets given this year at
other schools.
The Inspection Report and Management Plan, in accordance with
the ASBESTOS HAZARD EMERGENCY RESPONSE ACT (AHERA), is available
for public review in Keheley's front office.
