Palmer Achievements

The state of Georgia release the 2018-2019 CCRPI scores, and Palmer achieved a score of 85.9, an increase of 2.3 over last year. We also achieved a five-star School Climate rating for the fifth consecutive year!

Congratulations to our 7th and 8th Grade Math and Science teachers and students! Our scores are back from the 2018-2019 EOG and Palmer Middle School had some fantastic gains!

7th Grade Math: The 7th Grade Math EOG scores saw the 2nd greatest increase in Cobb County with students scoring at Levels 3-4 (Proficient and Distinguished).

8th Grade Math: Our students had the second greatest growth in Cobb County, scoring at Levels 3-4 (Proficient and Distinguished). Additionally, they had the 3rd highest growth in their score scale. 100% of students enrolled in Algebra & H.S. Physical Science scored Proficient or Distinguished!

8th Grade Science: Our students were 1st in the county in growth from the prior year, with students scoring at Levels 3-4 (Proficient and Distinguished). Palmer’s 8th Grade science scores have gone up over 40 points over the last 3 years - the 2nd greatest gain in the county!

Georgia School Counselor of the Year!

At a surprise ceremony with Superintendent Chris Ragsdale, Palmer students and staff, and other CCSD staff members, Mrs. Barbara Truluck was names Georgia's 2019 Counselor of the Year! We are so honored and proud to have Mrs. Truluck's leadership at our school. Congratulations, Mrs. Truluck!
