Bring a Parent to Murals Day will be Friday, February 26th.  The activity will be  awesome game of Matball.  Bring a parent or parents to intramurals to have a great time!  You can play with or against your parents.  Al intramural students are invited to participate.  See you there!

Palmer Academic Team Advances to GA State Semi-Finals!

The Palmer Academic Team won first place among the top two Region 2 schools, and moves on to the Georgia State Semi-Finals on January 30th. Good luck!

 

Palmer Staff Members Honored with Bags of Thankfulness!

Students wrote notes of thankfulness to staff members the week before Thanksgiving. The bags were given to staff members at the end of the week as a keepsake of gratitude for all that they do each day!

 

Palmer Science Teacher Winner in Cobb Tank Grant Competition!

Congratulations to teacher Tami McIntire and family, one of the prestigious winners of the Cobb Tank Grant Competition! Palmer Re-Validated as an
AVID National Demonstration School

Palmer Middle School officially received re-validation as the only AVID National Demonstration School in the state of Georgia!! Our AVID program met the standards for supporting the program effectiveness and student progress. The AVID program is designed to increase students’ achievement, develop skills in writing for learning, achieve success in honor classes, and become an effective learner in groups.

Congratulations to all who helped make this possible including: our AVID students, the AVID site team, the school administration, and especially our AVID site team leader Mrs. Dora Brown and our AVID instructor Mr. Vijay Koilpillai!!
