Students who missed or failed portions of the tests will need to complete a “Three R Academic Summer Program” contract for Summer Remediation and Re-Testing. The contacts will include End of Course re-test information, and credit recovery options as well. They are available in advisements and on-line at Download Credit Repair Contract 2012.

These contracts will be due to the main office by May 18th.

Seniors have already been notified of tests results. This is a reminder that only students who have completed ALL graduation requirements, including testing, will be able to participate in the Graduation Ceremony.

TWO SOUTH COBB BASKETBALL PLAYERS SHOW COMPASSION AS THEY SET TO COMPETE IN THE COURTNEY S. CROOMS MEMORIAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

South Cobb basketball seniors, (pictured left to right) Brodnisha Taylor and  Eniya Edwards will represent Cobb County in a memorial basketball tournament held annually in honor of  a fallen female player.  The Courtney S. Crooms (CSC) Foundation is proud to have these two outstanding student athletes as members of the 2012 CSC Team competing in the tournament held each year in Courtney's honor, a 14-year old basketball player, who died in a tragic auto accident after returning home from an AAU Basketball tournament.

E. Meshal Crooms, co-founder and president of the foundation (pictured in the center), and her husband Derick founded the 501©3 organization in their daughter’s name to preserve her legacy, and continue her love for the sport vicariously through other female student athletes.  This tournament represents her spirit, passion and motivation to raise funds and a higher level of appreciation for other female basketball players as they continue to develop their skills and compete.  The tournament also awards grants to promising female basketball players.

This year's event, held May 18th-20th, 2012 marks the fifth year of the tournament, which showcases the talent of some of the best players in the southeast, including Georgia, Alabama and Florida. Courtney’s motto:  “Live life with passion and purpose, and play each game as if it were your last!”, says it all.
