Does your child have a curiosity in science? We invite them to demonstrate that curiosity! We are excited about the upcoming opportunity for our 2nd – 5th grade students to participate in the Clarkdale Elementary School Science Fair!
The Clarkdale Elementary Science fair will be January 29, 2026.
The science fair is an opportunity for students to ask questions, explore, test, and come to conclusions about scientific ideas that interest them. Please read through this form and visit the links to get ideas, see the timeline of events, and learn more about our science fair.
Resources and ideas for projects can be found online by visiting:

Remember What Makes a Good Project:
- Student poses a question based on their own interest to learn about how/why the world works.
- Experiment based investigation following the Scientific Method to answer the question (Scientific Worksheets provided as a guide)
- Data-Driven results analyzed and documented, presented on display board.
Remember to AVOID:
- Models (Volcanoes, Robots, etc.)
- “Research Only” projects or Display boards about general interest topics. You need DATA!
- NO SLIME PROJECTS!!!
- No projects that involve Mold or Bacteria growth!! Do not use petri dishes or collect mold/bacteria samples this is strictly prohibited.
- Any projects that test on a living creature (a pet, a sibling, yourself) as a “subject”
