🎉We are proud to celebrate our Classified Employee of the Year, Mrs. Kelly Copeland, whose journey is a true testament to dedication, service, and heart for students. A Cobb County School District graduate from McEachern High School’s Class of 1995, Mrs. Copeland returned to the district to begin her career as an educator, serving as a teacher from 2000 to 2011. 👩🏻‍🏫

👩🏻‍💻Mrs. Copeland joined Durham in 2022, serving as a front office clerk. In February 2023, she transitioned into the role of paraprofessional, where she has made an incredible impact ever since. 🏫Her flexibility and willingness to support wherever needed have allowed her to work in nearly every classroom—from MOID to Connections—across all grade levels and subject areas. ✅

💖What truly sets Mrs. Copeland apart is her passion for students. She shares that the most rewarding part of her role is building relationships with middle schoolers and helping guide them to become the best versions of themselves. Her positive influence, dedication, and care for every student she encounters make her an invaluable part of our school community. 🏫
