Advanced Content (AC) Math services are offered to those students in 4th and 5th grades who meet the qualifying criteria.
Families of qualifying AC Math students for the 2025-2026 school year were notified through a message in CTLS on July 21, 2026. If you did not receive communication, your child did not meet the requirements for AC Math for this school year.
AC Math placement is determined by multiple criteria set by Cobb County School District (CCSD). The criteria used for the 2026-27 school year is listed below.
4th Grade:
Students are required to meet the criteria in ALL three areas to be eligible to receive AC Math services. All students must maintain satisfactory classroom performance (greater or equal to 80% average) each quarter to continue to receive AC Math instruction.
East Side Elementary 4th grade (all 3 criteria must be met for eligibility)
5th Grade:

East Side Elementary 5th grade (all 3 criteria must be met for eligibility)
This year, your child’s homeroom teacher will serve as their Advanced Math Teacher and their advanced math instruction will be provided in their homeroom class during the math block. Your child’s homeroom teacher is gifted certified and is excited about providing the AC math curriculum to her students. Milestones individual student score reports are embargoed, but once scores are released by GaDOE, student Individual Score Reports will be available for your viewing in CTLS Parent.
