January 24, 2026 — All Cobb schools will be closed on Monday, January 26th, including all extracurricular activities and athletic events.
This decision follows an update from the National Weather Service issued Saturday afternoon, as well as from the Governor's office, which forecasts dangerous conditions for Monday morning. They anticipate the possibility of significant ice accumulation, dangerous driving conditions, high winds, and dangerously low temperatures.
While all schools and district offices are closed, annual operational staff should consult the Reporting to Work on Inclement Weather Days directions from Human Resources or your supervisor. In any case, no team member should attempt to report to work if the route is unsafe.
