November 6, 2025 — The regular season is officially in the books, and playoff football is here. Cobb County schools are well represented across three classifications this year, with seven teams earning a spot in the postseason.
• In Class 4A, the Region 6 champion Kell Longhorns are the lone Cobb County representative. Kell enters the playoffs as the fifth-ranked team in the classification. Their region title secures home-field advantage for at least the first two rounds. The Longhorns will host Hampton in the opening round on November 14.

• Moving up to Class 5A, the Sprayberry Yellow Jackets finished as runner-up in Region 6 and earned the No. 10 spot in the 5A rankings. They’ll also begin their playoff run at home, facing Lee County in the first round in a rematch of last season's quarterfinal loss for the Yellow Jackets.

• Class 6A features the largest group of Cobb teams in the playoffs—five in total—each looking to make a playoff statement. Cobb boasts two region champs in 6A: the McEachern Indians in Region 3 and the North Cobb Warriors in Region 5, earning them home-field advantage in the first two rounds.
- Undefeated at 10–0 and ranked fourth in the classification, McEachern will host Walton in a rematch of their impressive season opener at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the Corky Kell Classic. The Indians have been unstoppable all year, putting up a total of 449 points while allowing only 104.

- North Cobb is the region champ for the second consecutive season and will host Paulding County in the first round. The Warriors edged out Marietta and North Paulding to win the region, thanks to a stingy defense that allowed the fewest points in Region 5 (113).

- The Harrison Hoyas claimed second place in Region 3 and will host Marietta at Cobleigh Stadium for their first-round matchup. The Hoyas have had an outstanding season with only a single loss to McEachern. The 9-1 Hoyas enter the postseason on a four-game win streak.

- The Hillgrove Hawks will travel about 20 miles northwest to take on North Paulding. The 8-2 Hawks are looking to shake off late-season losses to McEachern and Harrison with a first-round win over the Wolfpack. Hillgrove also made the quarterfinals last season, and that experience will serve them well as they will be on the road throughout their postseason journey.

- The Walton Raiders enter the postseason hoping to avenge their earlier loss to McEachern in the only Cobb vs. Cobb game in the opening round. The Raiders will need a complete performance from offense, defense, and special teams to come out on top and score a first-round win at Cantrell Stadium.

With seven teams in the postseason—nearly half of Cobb’s football programs—the county once again proves its talent on the gridiron. All of the games are close enough for Cobb football fans to make an impact on their favorite teams. Supporters are encouraged to make plans to attend one of these exciting playoff games on Friday, November 14! Let's go, Cobb!
