Osborne High School proudly celebrated tradition, excellence, and Cardinal pride during a memorable Athletics Hall of Fame Weekend honoring some of the school’s most impactful athletes and teams.
The weekend began Friday night as the community gathered in the gymnasium, where this year’s inductees were recognized at center court during the basketball games. The crowd applauded as the honorees were presented to the Osborne community: Milton Beck (Football), Jason Jones (Baseball), Larry Schnall (Tennis), and the legendary 1994 Football Team. The moment served as a powerful reminder of the athletic excellence and history that continue to shape Osborne High School.

Surrounded by family, friends, former teammates, and supporters, each inductee was honored for their achievements and lasting impact. The ceremony was opened by Athletic Director Ron Boggs and emceed by Osborne alum Chris Mooneyham.
In his opening remarks, Boggs spoke about one of the core values he emphasizes in Osborne athletics: grit. He shared that success is not only built on talent, but on perseverance, resilience, and the willingness to push through adversity. He challenged current and future Cardinals to embrace that grit, noting that the very athletes being honored exemplified those qualities throughout their time at Osborne and beyond.

The induction ceremony featured heartfelt speeches, shared memories, and stories that highlighted not only athletic accomplishments, but also the relationships, lessons, and life paths that began at Osborne. Again and again, speakers reflected on how their experiences as Cardinals helped shape who they became long after leaving the fields and courts.
More than a celebration of wins and records, the weekend stood as a testament to the deep love and dedication so many hold for Osborne High School. Alumni traveled back to campus, and staff and students worked behind the scenes to ensure the event reflected the pride and respect these honorees deserve.
For those who have attended the Hall of Fame celebration since its inception, this year’s event was widely regarded as the strongest yet, both in attendance and in spirit, as the tradition continues to grow.
This special weekend was made possible through the dedication of countless staff members, students, and community supporters who ensured the event remained a meaningful and fitting tribute to the athletes and teams who helped shape Osborne’s athletic history.
