Osborne Scholars Advance!

Osborne Students Advance in Prestigious Governor’s Honors Program
Osborne High School is proud to announce that eleven of our Cardinals have advanced to the state-level phase of the prestigious Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP)!
GHP is one of Georgia’s most competitive academic programs, designed to recognize and develop the state’s most talented high school students across academic disciplines, the arts, STEM fields, and world languages. The multi-level selection process is highly rigorous, requiring extensive preparation, interviews, and portfolio or performance components. Our students’ advancement reflects months of dedication, resilience, and academic excellence.
This year, Osborne had one of the strongest showings in the entire Cobb County School District, with an impressive number of students advancing through each round. While eleven students are moving forward to the state-level phase, we are incredibly proud of all Osborne students who participated. Simply reaching the interview levels of GHP is a major accomplishment and speaks to the depth of talent, commitment, and academic culture at Osborne High School.
Osborne’s GHP Journey: By the Numbers
• 32 students were selected at the school level to participate in interviews at Osborne
• 23 students advanced to district-level interviews
• 11 students have now advanced to the state-level application and interview phase, the final step before official state selections are made
These results represent not only individual achievement, but also the collective strength of our students, staff, and families who continuously support academic growth and excellence.

Congratulations to Osborne’s 2025 State-Level Nominees
