Summer Literature Series

Pearson is providing opportunities for students to read over the summer. Students will enjoy reading high-interest short stories out of the Scholastic Scope magazine using the interactive Nearpod platform. Students will also have an opportunity to participate in virtual field trips. In addition, all CCSD students have access to Sora by OverDrive, an E-digital reading app designed for K-12 students to read chapter books. DON'T FORGET TO LOG YOUR MINUTES IN BEANSTACK!!!
The series will be available here on the Pearson website on the dates listed below. Students must click on the Nearpod link to access all materials. In addition, the academic coach, Ms. Hannibal, will provide a video with instructions on how to navigate.
The electronic translation service is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages, although an impressive number, this does not capture all languages or dialects. The basic translation’s goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material.
