Principal Lindsey McGovern announced the Shallowford Falls Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year for 2026-27. Second-grade IRR teacher Megan Smith was named Teacher of the Year. Her colleagues praised her patient work with her students as well as her literarcy leadership both at SFES and throughout the county. 

Newly appointed school secretary Kristen Kindle was named the Classified Employee of the Year. Her colleagues noted that she has adjusted to her new role with great success. She is a welcoming and friendly presence in the front office, and her willingness to help others impresses her co-workers.
