April 27, 2017-State Superintendent RichardWoods along with CCSD Superintendent Chris Ragsdale officially recognize KMHS as STEM certified by the state of Georgia.


Kennesaw Mountain High School is proud to join the cadre of STEM Certified schools around the world. AdvanceEd STEM certification has been awarded to the Mustangs by the AdvanceEd accreditation body.

Project Chimps

Kennesaw Mountain High School is proud to announce our partnership with Project Chimps.

Project Chimps

“After almost 100 years of using chimpanzees for invasive biomedical research in the United States, scientists, politicians, policy-makers and the public all agree: it’s no longer necessary, and chimpanzees deserve retirement in accredited sanctuaries…a “super group” of chimpanzee, nonprofit, philanthropic, and legal experts joined together, and founded Project Chimps in 2014 to provide sanctuary for a majority of the last remaining chimpanzees in private research facilities…(this) 36-acre sanctuary is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of northern Georgia, and will eventually provide sanctuary for up to 300 chimpanzees.”

Due to our unique partnership, Project Chimps has graciously granted Kennesaw Mountain students unprecedented access to the facility and the wonderful work they do. Students will see firsthand the ethical consequences of biomedical research and the implications and importance of environmental stewardship. The Addams Family

proudly presents their Spring Musical,

TWO NIGHTS ONLY - APRIL 27 & 28 at 7:00 PM

First Six Center Rows: $12 in advance, $15 at the door
All Other Seats: $10 in advance, $12 at the door

The show is approximately two hours with a ten minute intermission. It is rated PG for mild adult language and thematic content.

Starring: State Best Actor - Carson Colenbaugh as Gomez,
Region Best Female Soloist - Sydney Schulte as Wednesday,
SState Humorous Interpretation Champion - Nick Haddad as Pugsley.

Seats are reserved – you may get your tickets at the school from Mr. Dunn in room 915 or email Mr. Dunn at coy.dunn@cobbk12.org tell him your name, number of tickets, which night, and the general area you prefer to sit – he will email you back your amount due then you may pick your tickets up at the front desk when you pay, Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm.

We have 24 performers on stage, 16 students playing LIVE music in the orchestra, 10 students singing in the pit, 65 tech students working behind the scenes, and 3 directors working hard to make you proud!!!!

Scholarship Offers

Seniors, have you received scholarship offers? Please bring a copy of your award letter(s) to the Counseling Office – and also indicate if it is a full-tuition scholarship. We want you to be recognized, even for scholarships you do not plan to use! You may also submit your scholarship offers here. Deadline for info to be included at honors night: April 26 at 8:30 AM.

Summertime Certificate of School Enrollment

Certificates of School Enrollment are required to obtain both a Georgia Learner's Permit and a Georgia Driver's License for students under the age of 18.

The $2 payment must be processed through MyPaymentsPlus.

Certificates ordered on May 18, 2018 will be valid from May 22 – July 31, 2018.  Please pick these up in the Attendance Office on May 22 or May 23.

Certificate of School Enrollment

Certificates of School Enrollment are required to obtain both a Georgia Learner's Permit and a Georgia Driver's License for students under the age of 18. Certificates expire in 30 days.

The $2 payment must be processed through MyPaymentsPlus.

Certificates will be ready for pick-up in two days.


Parking for Spring Semester

Please note that purchase procedures must be followed exactly for an expeditious acquisition of the parking decal:

  1. Student has parking application completely filled out
  2. All parking must be paid through mypaymentsplus.com. All prior tickets must be paid in full before receiving a second semester decal.

Dress Code

Please remember-when shopping for school clothes, NO holes above the knees are permitted.

Shorts must be no shorter than six inches above the knee.

Work Permit

Students can go online to complete the work permit paperwork. Bring the GA DOL printout in person to the main office or the attendance office. The work permit will be completed in 24 hours from the time it is turned in.  

Effective July 1, 2015, with the exception of minors in entertainment, work permits are no longer required for youth age 16 and older.

Graduation Dates just announced-Kennesaw Mountain High School Seniors will have their graduation ceremony on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2:30pm at the Kennesaw State Convocation Center.
