CCSD Promotion/Retention Policy

According to Cobb County School District policy, students must earn the following number of credits to be promoted to the following grade levels:

  • 10th grade—5 credits
  • 11th grade—10 credits
  • 12th grade—16 credits

Additionally, the following requirements must also be met to advance to the next grade:

  • 10th grade—students must have earned one full credit each of state required coursework in English, math, and science
  • 11th grade—students must have earned two full credits each of state required coursework in English, math, and science.

Transcripts-All colleges and universities require a final transcript as proof of graduation. How can I request a transcript?

  1. In person at KMHS during summer hours. Cost: $2 per transcript; please bring exact amount and mailing address.
  2. Class of 2016-Send electronically via http://www.gacollege411.org to most in-state colleges.  Directions on how to send your transcript via 411. For colleges not on 411, you will need to request your transcript in person at KMHS.

If you graduated in 2002 or earlier, and need a transcript, click here for instructions:  http://www.cobbk12.org/aboutccsd/records/.  KMHS is unable to print your transcript.

 

Certificate of School Enrollment

The first day to request a Certificate of School Enrollment for the 2016-17 school year is August 16. The certificate will be ready to pick up on Friday, August 19.

 

Office 365 for Students

The Cobb County School District is pleased to offer Office 365 to its students. Parents must provide consent for students to be able to use this service. More information on how to provide consent can be found at the link below.

KiDtalk Winner from KMHS

Daisy Reyes from KMHS has been announced as a 2016 KiDtalk winner. Daisy will have the opportunity to share her speech with all CCSD teachers on July 25, 2016. Below is a link to the county news story and the videos of all KiDtalk finalists. Congratulations to Daisy!

New Student Registration

Class of 2017

Information regarding graduation invitations, cap and gown orders, and the class of 2017 graduation ceremony will posted as it is received from the Cobb County School District. Please check the school website regularly for updates.

 

Work Permit

Students can go online to complete the work permit paperwork. Bring the GA DOL printout in person to the main office or the attendance office. The work permit will be completed in 24 hours from the time it is turned in.  

Effective July 1, 2015, with the exception of minors in entertainment, work permits are no longer required for youth age 16 and older.
