Georgia Parent Survey

The Georgia Parent Survey queries parents regarding school matters. Parents may complete the survey using their personal computer, smartphone or tablet. All parents should be encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey as the data will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The Georgia Parent Survey is also available in Spanish. Parents may select the Spanish version within the survey. Results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online. Please take a moment to complete this survey for Kennesaw Mountain High School. Thank you.

Sibling Transfers

Sibling Transfers - Parents/guardians of a student who has a sibling already enrolled in a District school through an approved transfer may apply for a younger sibling to attend the same school in accordance with District Administrative Rule JBCD-R. This provision attempts to address siblings enrolled in different schools at the same time due to an approved transfer. A sibling is defined as a brother, sister, step-brother, or step-sister living in the same household and who otherwise meets the requirements for enrollment.  The application window for the 2018-2019 school year will be open from January 4, 2018 through January 31, 2018.

Project Chimps

Kennesaw Mountain High School is proud to announce our partnership with Project Chimps.

Project Chimps

“After almost 100 years of using chimpanzees for invasive biomedical research in the United States, scientists, politicians, policy-makers and the public all agree: it’s no longer necessary, and chimpanzees deserve retirement in accredited sanctuaries…a “super group” of chimpanzee, nonprofit, philanthropic, and legal experts joined together, and founded Project Chimps in 2014 to provide sanctuary for a majority of the last remaining chimpanzees in private research facilities…(this) 36-acre sanctuary is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of northern Georgia, and will eventually provide sanctuary for up to 300 chimpanzees.”

Due to our unique partnership, Project Chimps has graciously granted Kennesaw Mountain students unprecedented access to the facility and the wonderful work they do. Students will see firsthand the ethical consequences of biomedical research and the implications and importance of environmental stewardship. We could not be more excited for this unique, real-world learning opportunity. To learn more about Project Chimps please access the following link:
