End of Semester Information

books, and paying fines to finish out this semester.
Spring 2015 Parking
Parking permits for spring semester will be sold on January 5
from 10:00 am -12:00 pm
Spring 2015 Textbooks
Spring Semester books will be available for check-out on
Monday, January 5th from 10am-12pm and from 2pm-4pm. All
Fall books must be returned before new books can be checked-out.
Certificate of Attendance Information
If you ordered a Certificate of Attendance,
please don't forget to pick it up Friday, December 19.
Certificates of Attendance are required to obtain both a
Georgia Learner's Permit and a Georgia Driver's License for
students under the age of 18. Certificates expire in 30 days.
Apply in the Attendance Office every Tuesday from 7:45-8:20
am. There is a $2.00 processing fee, bring exact change.
Certificates will be ready for pick-up on Friday. The processing
time may be longer if you were not a Cobb County student last
The Princeton Review
Project 2400 – Overflow Class Enrollment
As you know, our Project 2400 lottery has taken place. If you
were not selected or did not participate in the lottery, it is
not too late to prepare your student for the spring SAT exam. In
addition to the Project 2400 Class, the Princeton Review will
also be offering an “overflow” class at Kennesaw Mountain High
School for anyone interested. This class, which will be
available for $375/student (a significant discount off of our
standard retail price), will offer the same schedule, materials
and resources as the Project 2400 class, and will be taught
using the same methods and strategies. Only the instructor and
the room number will be different. For more information about
this class and registration instructions, please pick-up an
informational flyer from the guidance office or Ms. Mitchell in
room 200. Thank you.
HOPE Scholarship & Grant Program
Students in 10th – 12th grade can check
their HOPE GPA and find information regarding the HOPE program
and its requirements at
www.gacollege411.org. How to check your HOPE GPA:
- Click on Your HOPE GPA on right side of page.
- Sign in to your account or
an Account (Use your full legal name. Do not use your nickname).
- At the screen HOPE GPA, complete the requested
information and click Submit.
Registration for AP Exams
Online AP Exam registration is now open at
Detailed information about the AP Program at KMHS can be
checks and forms must be delivered to Room 306. The following
October 13th- February 1st-
February 2nd- May 31st- $100.00
Students can go online to complete the
work permit paperwork. Bring the GA DOL printout in person
to the main office or the attendance office.
The work permit will be completed in 24 hours from the
time it is turned in.

other paperwork to expedite the registration process.
Access to Synergy
Students can log in now using their existing student ID#
and password. Students will not need new accounts.
can sign up for their accounts in Ms. James office between
9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each school day. Parents must
bring photo ID and sign the new user agreement in order
to receive a user name and password for Synergy ParentVUE.
