Home of the Mustangs
Dear Mustang Family,
As a result of our recent inclement weather, our students
have missed several days of instruction. Because of this, our
leadership team has developed a variety of strategies to
compensate for the lost instructional time.
The steps below outline our plan:
- Eliminate daily homeroom/advisement to increase instructional
- Eliminate Character Education scheduled for March to increase
- Eliminate additional, non-essential field trips
- Extend the hours of Media Center availability for students on
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 until 5:30
- Extend tutoring opportunities before and after school and on
Saturdays; open a computer lab before school for students’
online learning; offer weekend study sessions for AP exam review
and EOCT review (announcements forthcoming)
- Increase utilization of USA Test Prep for additional
These strategies will build additional instructional time
back into our schedule with increased opportunities for extra
student help. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding
as we implement this plan. Please let me know if you have
any questions or concerns.
