Community Partner Information/FAQs

What is my role as a community partner?

It is completely up to you! You will be paired with an experienced KMHS teacher and their homeroom class to help lead a lesson/discussion based on having strong character. Your assigned teacher will have a basic lesson concept and framework that you will be working from each month. From there you and your teacher will lead a discussion of the topic. We encourage our community partners to share their life and professional experiences and to engage with the students in helping them learn important real world character lessons.

Where do I get my lesson plan materials?

Your designated teachers will have all of the Character Ed materials (textbook, pacing guide, lesson plan, etc.) available to them for you. Your teacher will also be familiar with how the lesson will work and you can work with your teacher to determine what role you would like to play within the classroom. Your role is very open-ended in terms of how you would like to interact.
