Objectives of the PTA

• To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
• To raise the standards of home life.
• To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
• To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
• To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.

Austell Elementary School PTA mission is to build a community between our teachers, parents and students and raise funds for programs that enhance the students learning experience.

According to the National PTA, "Family participation in education is twice as predictive of students' academic success as family socioeconomic status or parents' level of education. When parents come to school regularly, it reinforces the view in the child's mind that school and home are connected and that school is an integral part of the whole family's life."

We are excited about the months and year ahead, and hope that you take a moment to learn about Austell Primary PTA. Your involvement in the PTA will help connect you to your child's experience at Austell Primary and enable you to become a part of a flourishing community. We hope to be a resource for you and welcome your questions and ideas.
