Dr. Tiffany Barney

Dr. Tiffany Barney is currently the Executive Director of the Cobb Innovation & Technology  Academy. Prior to her appointment in Cobb County, she served as the CTAE Program Specialist for healthcare science, law and public safety, and cosmetology for the Georgia Department of Education. In addition, she has a host of experience working at various levels of public education. She has been a teacher, instructional coach, and an adjunct professor. Barney transitioned to education after a career in athletic training working with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes.  In  2017, she earned a PhD from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Alvin DeCuir


Alvin DeCuir, Ed.D.

Dr. Alvin DeCuir is the Assistant Director of the Cobb Innovation & Technology Academy. Prior to his appointment to the Cobb Innovation & Technology Academy, he served as the CTAE Coordinator for the Cobb County School District. In addition, he has taught graphic design at Pebblebrook and Osborne high schools. He has worked in two other school districts in East Baton Rouge Parrish Louisiana and the Town of Greenwich Connecticut. Dr. Decuir has a Doctorate degree from Walden University in Educational Leadership, a Master of Science in Secondary School Leadership from the University of New England, and two Bachelors degrees from Southern University and A&M College in Fine Arts and Art Education.

Antoinette Griffin

Antoinette Griffin, Ed.S.

Antoinette Griffin is excited to join the CITA at Allatoona team as the Program Coordinator, where she looks forward to building relationships, supporting innovative learning opportunities, and creating meaningful experiences for students, educators, and community partners. With more than 20 years of experience in education, she has served learners across K-12 and higher education. Her journey includes roles as an elementary and high school educator, university instructor, and school leader serving as vice principal, principal, and regional supervisor in both elementary and high school settings. Antoinette earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from California State University and two master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Administration. She most recently completed her Education Specialist in Advanced Education Studies from Augusta University. She is excited to begin this new chapter with CITA.
