Morning Carpool Guidelines and Expectations
It is an expectation that all cars stay in the car line.
Car Rider Line Reminders
If your child can safely ride the bus, we encourage you to consider this option, as it greatly reduces parking lot congestion. Bus riders are never marked tardy, while car riders arriving after the bell will be counted tardy. If traffic backs up when exiting campus, you may be directed to the bus port parking lot and asked to follow the loop to keep traffic flowing smoothly. Our crossing guard is scheduled for 30 minutes each morning to assist walkers and help buses move efficiently.
Car Line Entry & Traffic Flow

Refer to the image for the correct car line entry (blue arrow) and traffic flow.
The green area marks the designated unloading zone. Students should exit immediately once the vehicle stops.
Drive slowly, follow staff directions, and stop as needed to allow crosswalk access.
Morning Drop-Off Procedures
Students must exit quickly and independently from the passenger side only. Never allow students to exit on the driver’s side.
Students may unload along the entire sidewalk by the playground. Please do not wait until the porch area, as this slows the line. Staff members are present to ensure safety.
Students should be ready to exit immediately. Have backpacks and materials ready before entering the parking lot.
Parents must remain in their vehicles during drop-off. If your child needs help with buckling or unbuckling, please park in a designated space first, then rejoin the line.
Do not park and walk students across the lot. This causes delays and creates safety concerns—especially during dark or rainy mornings.
Do not park along curbs or drop students off in the parking lot or on Jamerson Road. Children should not walk through the parking lot alone.
The only access to parking is through the carpool line. Park only in designated spaces and never use handicapped or assigned spaces for drop-off.
Safety Expectations
Refrain from texting and stay alert to the movement of the line and students. Safety is our top priority.
Do not pass other vehicles in the drop-off line unless directed by a staff member.
Students walking from home should cross at the crosswalk with staff assistance.
If you arrive after the 7:50 AM tardy bell, you must park, walk your child inside, and sign them in outside the front doors.
Tips to Reduce Carpool Stress
The best time to arrive is between 7:20–7:35 AM, when the line moves most efficiently.
Consider using the bus if carpool timing is difficult.
No delay is worth compromising student safety. When these guidelines are followed, the car line moves efficiently and students safely enter the building.
Thank you for helping keep our students and staff safe,
