Don’t forget that the media center is having the book fair presented by Bedford Falls. Next week, students will have an opportunity to shop at the fair. Kindergarten will be shopping on Monday, First Grade on Tuesday, and Second Grade on Wednesday. Payment can be made by cash, check (payable to KES) or a ONE TIME preauthorized amount on a credit card. Information on credit cards was sent out earlier this week however, it appears that the Bedford Falls site is now fixed so it may be done online.
Mark your calendars now so you don’t miss the Kennesaw Elementary School Spring Book Fair. We will be welcoming Bedford Falls, a new company for this fair. The fair will look different but we are excited about the selection of books that will be available for our students.
The dates for the Book Fair are:
March 14 – March 24
The Book Fair gives you and your children the opportunity to buy quality books and products. Your child will be visiting our Book Fair with his or her class, and students will be given an opportunity to fill out a wish list and will have an opportunity to shop the Book Fair with his or her class. We have attached a Book List for you to look at with your child. This is only a small sampling of all the great books available at our Fair.
Below are the days your child’s class with preview the fair and the days they will shop.
March 14th – Kindergarten preview day
March 15th – 1st Grade preview day
March 16th – 2nd Grade preview day
March 17th – Orders may be sent in to be filled
March 18th – Orders may be sent in to be filled
March 21st – Kindergarten Shopping Day
March 22nd – 1st Grade Shopping Day
March 23rd – 2nd Grade Shopping Day
March 24th – Final orders may be sent in to be filled/Book Fair Take Down
Payment for the fair may be made in the form of Cash and Check (payable to KES) and credit card. We are tax exempt so no sales tax needs to be added to your order. You will need to register for an account at www.bedfordfallsusa.com under the top tab indicating “For Parents” and use the school code of KE4 to be able to shop online and authorize a one time credit card amount. Your credit card will only be charged the amount your child spends if less than the authorized amount. If you want additional purchases, you will need to set up another authorized amount as amounts will not carry over.
We look forward to a great Book Fair. Although our fair will look different once again as only students will be allowed to shop the fair, we are thrilled to be able to provide this opportunity for the students. ****Bedford Falls Book Fairs is experiencing some technical difficulties with the website and the PreAuthorization Credit Card process. Our tech team is working on this and we hope to have the situation resolved as quickly as possible but in the interim parents can call in to set up a PreAuthorization for their child at the main Bedford Falls Book Fairs number 800-954-0140. Parents can call in to load these PreAuthorizations any time between 8:00am and 8:00pm. The parent will call into the number and their call will be answered to collect the information on the PreAuthorization School Form. Once all of the information is collected, the pertinent information will then be loaded into a google sheets document labeled PreAuthorization School Form. The PreAuthorization School Form will be made available to the school. As the child makes the purchase, the person operating the tablet will ring up the purchase as a Gift Certificate with no change given back and record the amount spent.
Once the fair ends, we will take the PreAuthorization School Form and run the credit card numbers for only the purchases made. The parents credit card numbers are secure and there should be no concern with the credit card numbers getting out on the web. It will be 100% secure. The parents will only see the credit card purchases once the book fair ends.
