Our second graders had the opportunity to visit the Cobb Safety Village. This cutting-edge design and replicas of familiar community attractions is located across from Jim R. Miller Park on Al Bishop Dr. The facility makes learning about injury prevention interactive and fun. A prominent feature inside of the Safety Village is Sparky’s Apartment. The apartment is a primary site for fire safety simulations through its mock bedroom, kitchen, and living room that second and fourth-grade students in the Cobb County School District and Marietta City Schools use. At the Safety Village, they believe that "Education is the key to reducing risk and protecting the community".

There are scheduled family days at the Safety Village if you are interested in visiting with your family. https://www.cobbcounty.org/public-safety/safety-village
