Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl

What is HRRB?

The Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl is a quiz bowl-style competition that tests students’ knowledge of the books they have read.  The list of books are pulled from the well-respected Georgia’s Children Book Award Nominees.

The team is open to fourth and fifth graders.

A county-level competition is held in January.  The top two teams from each competition level move on to regionals, then to divisionals, and then to the state competition held in Athens each spring.

This year's HRRB season has come and gone, but if you are going to be in fourth or fifth grade and want to participate in 2021-2022, you can check out more information on the Learning Commons blog!
