School Strategic Plan
The purpose of the SSP is to select student goals connected to the Superintendent’s priorities in the following areas:
• Literacy
• Math
• School Selected- Determined by Local School
Instructions
Indicate which priority your goal is connected to and the actions, and evidence needed to meet the intended outcome. The reflection stage will be completed after measuring success with your intended outcome.
Goal #1: Literacy (K-2)- By the end of the 2026-2027 school year the percentage of 1st and 2nd grade students scoring prepared on the Beacon ELA assessment will increase from 42% on the spring 2026 administration to 47% on the spring 2027 administration.
Goal #2: Literacy (3-5)- By the end of the 2026-2027 school year the percentage of 3-5 students scoring prepared on the Beacon ELA assessment will increase from 20% on the spring 2026 administration to 25% on the spring 2027 administration.
Goal #3: Math (K-2)- By the end of the 2026-2027 school year the percentage of Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students scoring prepared on the Beacon Math assessment will increase from 37% on the spring 2026 administration to 42% on the spring 2027 administration.
Goal #4: Math (3-5)- By the end of the 2026-2027 school year the percentage of 3-5 students scoring in levels 2-4 on the Milestones assessment will increase from 89% on the spring 2026 administration to 92% on the spring 2027 administration.
Goal #5: School Selected- During the 2026-2027 school year grade level CCC teams K-5 will increase the number of common formative assessments given in Math and ELA from one per semester to two per semester. These assessments will be connected to learning targets that will be printed on the assessment or on an assessment cover page as determined by each team.
Nicholson Elementary utilizes Option 1 when determining AC eligibility criteria for 4th and 5th-grade students.
