North Cobb 4-Star QB Commits to Notre Dame

July 25, 2025—Although he is entering his junior season as a high-school quarterback, North Cobb's Teddy Jarrard has already crossed "college choice" off his to-do list. The four-star signal caller committed to attend and play at Notre Dame beginning in 2027.
In a well-attended ceremony in the North Cobb film room on Thursday, Teddy made his college commitment known to all.
"It was a long process and all these programs are elite, but Notre Dame always stuck out to me," Teddy said about his decision. "Coach [Marcus] Freeman is building something special up there and it's something I want to be a part of."
Teddy basically had his choice of collegiate programs, but narrowed it down to a handful of Power Four schools for his signing event: Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Notre Dame.
"These programs all matter to me and they focused on me as a person. They all recruited me really hard and I appreciate what all of these coaches have done for me so far in this process," Teddy said about the schools represented by hats on the table in front of him.
Before making his big announcement to call South Bend home in a couple years, Teddy thanked all the coaches and family members who helped him get to where he is. He mentioned his Christian faith several times and how it has sustained him through difficult times and kept him grounded during the really big moments.
"I couldn't have made it here without the people who had my back from the very beginning. To my Mom, Dad, brothers, and entire family: thank you for never giving up on me. You pushed me when I needed it most and loved me through everything. You all are my foundation and my rock," Teddy said to those surrounding him.
Teddy will finish his final two years of high school trying to help Coach Shane Queen and his staff achieve the dream of a state championship. While the Warriors have regularly made the playoffs and are always contenders, they have not yet secured a title. They are hoping all that can change under Teddy's on-field command of the offense and the deep talent the Warriors have on both sides of the ball.
The Warriors enter the 2025 season ranked as a top ten team in the state and kick off their schedule with a home game against Archer on August 15.
Congratulations Teddy and Let's Go Warriors!
