AP Scholars

Osborne High School celebrated the outstanding academic achievement of its Advanced Placement students during the Cardinals Rise & Shine AP Scholar Celebration, recognizing students whose performance across multiple AP Exams earned them national recognition from the College Board. Students were honored at three levels. AP Scholars earned scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams. AP Scholars with Honor earned scores of 3 or higher on four or more AP Exams while maintaining an average AP Exam score of at least 3.25. The highest recognition, AP Scholar with Distinction, was presented to students who earned scores of 3 or higher on five or more AP Exams while maintaining an average score of at least 3.5 across all AP Exams taken. Each level represents an impressive commitment to challenging coursework and achievement across multiple college-level academic experiences.

The celebration connected these accomplishments to the school’s Portrait of an Osborne Graduate, which seeks to develop every Cardinal as a Critical Thinker, Resilient Self-Starter, and Future-Ready Contributor. AP coursework requires students to analyze complex ideas, solve problems, communicate their thinking, manage demanding expectations, and persevere when the work becomes difficult. The students recognized demonstrated not simply success on individual exams, but the consistency, independence, and determination necessary to succeed across multiple rigorous courses.

The morning celebrated an important accomplishment while also recognizing that these students are still Cardinals on the Rise. Their AP success provides tangible evidence of the knowledge, confidence, discipline, and resilience they are developing as they prepare for college, careers, and their communities. Osborne is proud of how far these Cardinals have risen and looks forward to seeing them shine even brighter in the future.
