NAPA Partners with CITA to Bring New Opportunities for Students

January 23, 2026 — Students at the Cobb Innovation and Technology Academy (CITA) are already building skills for real-world careers, and a new partnership with NAPA paves the way for students to go even further in the Automotive Pathways. Cobb Schools, the Cobb Schools Foundation, and NAPA are teaming up to strengthen and modernize the Automotive Pathways at the Cobb Innovation and Technology Academy.
NAPA representatives recently visited CITA to meet with students who are being impacted by their support and to present school leadership with a $250,000 check to provide students with even more resources and opportunities.
“As a proud Atlanta-based company, NAPA is thrilled to partner with Cobb County Schools and CITA to support young aspiring automotive technicians in our community. NAPA has long been a champion of innovative CTAE programs around the country, and we are excited to work with the wonderful teachers and staff at CITA to inspire the next generation of automotive techs.” - Sheonny Harrell, NAPA Director of Integrated Marketing & Strategic Programs.
Dr. Tiffany Barney, CITA's Executive Director, called the partnership a "game changer" and said she is eager to see how it benefits students.
The Cobb Schools Foundation brings community and education together, and this partnership with Cobb Schools and NAPA reflects that purpose — strengthening and modernizing Automotive Pathway programs at the Cobb Innovation and Technology Academy to prepare students for the future workforce.
CITA provides students with hands-on experience that prepares them for in-demand careers, connecting classroom learning to success after graduation.
"For me, the extra support is always really valuable. Even if it's not just for me, the students that come after me will now get more supplies, tools, and things to help them grow," said CITA Junior, Aaron.
The $250,000 will go towards new supplies for students interested in Automotive Pathways, including tools so students do not have to buy them themselves. This money and partnership will also go towards scholarships, additional resources for both teachers and students, and having a local industry leader from NAPA as a mentor for students.
"The future is bright. And when people say we have a workforce shortage, we have a solution for that, and it's the students here at CITA. Now at Osborne, but also at Allatoona in the future as well," said Dr. Barney.
The new CITA location at Allatoona High School is on track to welcome students for the 2026-2027 school year.
