Lindsey Daniel, 5th Grade Teacher

Lindsey DanielLindsey is thrilled to be joining the Tritt team! With 19 years of teaching experience under her belt, she’s had the joy of working with Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th graders across Hall, Habersham, and Cobb County. She has a passion for bringing learning to life and creating a classroom full of energy, curiosity, and fun.

She originally earned her degree in Political Science from North Georgia College and State University, but it didn’t take long for her to realize that her heart belonged in the classroom, not on Capitol Hill. She went on to earn her Master of Arts in Teaching from Piedmont College — and hasn’t looked back since.

Lindsey is the proud mom of two daughters: a sweet and spunky 6-year-old and a loving, independent 16-year-old (yes, the age gap is real, and yes, it keeps things interesting). Her husband is a PE teacher in Cobb and a soccer coach at Tophat, so their life is basically one big sports tournament with a side of laughter. They also have a dog named Dooley, who runs the house and keeps everyone in line.

When she’s not teaching, you can find Lindsey outdoors soaking up the sunshine, playing tennis, or attempting to be crafty. Whether it’s hiking, painting, or tackling a Pinterest project gone wrong, she loves staying active and creative — even if the glitter ends up everywhere.

Maddie Dionne, Special Education Teacher

Maddie DionneMaddie is so excited to be joining the Tritt family! She has worked in Cherokee County for the past 5 years but decided to make the move to Tritt to be closer to home. She has experience in both general education and special education, and she is so excited to be working alongside the staff at Tritt as a special education teacher.

Maddie went to college at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega where she earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education/special education. She then went on to earn her master’s degree in elementary education at Georgia Southern University. Maddie has always dreamed of becoming an educator. She has a passion for serving her community and positively impacting those around her.

Outside of school, you can find Maddie out in nature, usually on a hiking trail. She and her fiancé love traveling and visiting national parks across the U.S. If you ever want to know which trail you should hike or which park to visit next, give her a shout!

You can also find her spending time with her golden retriever Nash, who loves long walks and tennis balls. She loves going to any sports games, especially the Braves! As a Tritt alumna, Morgan is beyond excited to begin her teaching career as a part of the Tiger family.

Erin Hudson is thrilled to be back in the classroom after taking some time off to raise her two children. Her kids currently attend Tritt Elementary, and she has loved being involved at the school in many different ways over the years. A proud Tritt alum herself, Erin is overjoyed to be fulfilling her dream of teaching in the same school and community that played such a big role in shaping who she is today. She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education and also spent time at Auburn University—War Eagle! When she’s not at school, she loves spending time with her family, playing chauffeur to her busy kids, walking her perfect puppy, and feeding her adventurous spirit with roller coasters and travel.

Melanie Jones, Special Needs Kindergarten Paraprofessional

Melanie JonesSome people might call Melanie a “yankee” as she was born and raised in New Hampshire. šŸ˜‚ Melanie, on the other hand, considers herself a free spirit, having also lived in Virginia, San Diego, Oakland, Humboldt, and East Timor, where she lived for 18 months as a Peace Corps Volunteer. She now lives in Marietta with her husband, their three children, and Goose, the wonder dog. This is Melanie’s second year as a Special Ed Paraprofessional, and she looks forward to earning her MAT in Special Education in order to become a teacher in the future.

Andrea Long, 2nd Grade Teacher

Andrea LongAndrea Long is thrilled to officially join the Tritt family! With over sixteen years of teaching experience under her belt, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our incredible school community. Originally from Upstate New York, she earned her dual teaching certification in Exceptional and Elementary Education from SUNY Buffalo State College. She has specialized in meeting diverse learning needs and building strong partnerships with families.

When Andrea is not in the classroom, you can find her spending time outdoors with her family—hiking, playing at local parks, catching the latest family movie, or adventuring in North Georgia and beyond. She also enjoys working out at the gym, squeezing in reading during her tiniest bits of downtime, and connecting with friends in the community. She lives with her husband of almost 10 years, Paudie, 8-year-old daughter, Gemma, 4-year-old son, Callan, and their Schnauzer/Terrier mix dog, Lucy.

Andrea is beyond grateful to be part of the Tritt Community and can't wait to contribute to what makes this school so special and one-of-a-kind!

A true foodie at heart, Alli enjoys discovering new restaurants and trying different kinds of food and desserts.

Alli will also be continuing her own education, working toward her master’s degree in Special Education at Georgia College—making her a proud double Bobcat! She is excited to bring her energy, heart, and dedication to the students and families at Tritt.

Melissa Pumpian, Registrar Clerk

A career in education wasn't originally on Melissa's radar after graduation from the University of Florida with a BS in Communications. But countless hours of volunteering at her two sons' Cobb County elementary/middle schools, while a stay-at-home mom, was deeply rewarding and inspirational, so she decided to seek official employment with CCSD in 2016.

She was delighted when they agreed to give her a paycheck to support four teachers as an ES Specials Paraprofessional and every day for the past 8.5 years has been full of joy witnessing students explore their creativity, develop problem-solving skills and embrace lifelong healthy habits. If you ever need someone to tune a guitar, teach a student the trick to threading a needle, build an arcade game from recycled materials or be the pitcher for your kickball game, let her know. In addition, Melissa brings years of organizational, multi-tasking and, most importantly, people skills to the front office and can't wait to connect with everyone in the Tritt community!

When not at school, you can find Melissa enjoying empty-nester things like trying to beat her 243-day NYT Games Wordle streak, exploring the N. GA mountains with her husband from their cabin in Blairsville, getting together with girlfriends to sharpen her skills in her newest passion, American Mahjong, and periodically traveling afar to watch her boys play their respective college sports.
