February Family STEM Challenge

Melody reading Mae Among the Stars
This month, you are reading Mae Among the Stars! To bring the story to life, you will design your own Astronaut Training Course at home—think Ninja Warrior, space edition.
Use safe household items to create an obstacle course that tests balance, strength, coordination, or problem-solving. Draw a map or plan of your course and bring it to school to share. For extra fun, try running your course with friends or family members at home.
Bring in your course plan and you’ll earn a small piece of candy to celebrate your creativity and hard work. We can’t wait to see you train like a future astronaut!

October Family STEM Challenge
This month’s Family STEM Challenge invites you to look to the stars! Begin by listening to Clara and the Constellations, then design your very own constellation. Use your imagination to connect the stars into a unique shape, and bring it to life by writing a myth or story that explains how your constellation came to be. Families can share their creations with us to celebrate the creativity and curiosity that shine as brightly as the night sky!
