Yearbook Sales and Information

Welcome to Allatoona H.S.!

It’s hard to believe, but the Holidays are already upon us - a time for family and relaxation, but most of all, generosity.  Every year, hundreds of families in our community are unable to afford gifts for their children due to their financial situation, but here at Allatoona, we are trying to change that.  Shop with a Buccaneer was started to ensure that the underprivileged children in our feeder program have the best holiday season possible.  Through this program, students at Allatoona raise money so that they can take these children shopping for holiday gifts. It is just one small way that we can give back to the Buccaneer Community.

The PSAT will be given on October 19th.  The test will begin promptly at the beginning of the school day, so please send your student to school on time after a good night’s sleep and healthy breakfast!  Remember there is not a make-up day for the PSAT, so it’s extremely important we have all students here on this day.

Seniors will participate in our 2nd annual Senior Day.  Activities for the day include a Chick-fil-a breakfast, an awesome speaker, raffle items that include free Homecoming and Prom tickets, Senior Superlative announced with a lunch for the winners to follow senior day at Mellow Mushroom, and this year we will take the 2017 senior picture on the football field with some fun activities to follow the picture.  We are still looking for donations of water bottles and small raffle items such as $5.00-$10.00 gift cards.  You can drop any donations off in the Main Office.

Principal's Corner

As we move into our second six weeks of the 16-17 school-year, I would like to say thanks to all of our faculty, staff, and students for a great start to the school year!  Thanks also to our parents for your commitment to support your students.  In the last few weeks, we had one of the largest turn-outs ever for our fall open house and our PTSA membership has well surpassed last year’s numbers with over 600 members!

Please be reminded that our after school tutoring program will be moving full steam ahead in all of our core subject areas over the next few weeks as well.  Students are reminded each and every day of the importance of their effort and participation in their academic success!  Our outstanding Allatoona teachers are dedicated to doing “whatever it takes” to ensure that all students have an opportunity to be successful in each class.

I greatly appreciate the strong home and school connection that has been established at Allatoona High School.  Our entire staff is committed to and look forward to continuing to build on that for the benefit of each and every one of our Buccaneer Students.

Please utilize our website to access updated information and if you are not following me on twitter yet, please do so today (@toonaprincipal) for great information and updates.

Go Bucs!
