What are WatchDOGS

The national Watch D.O.G.S. (dads of great students) program was established in 1998 to help provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important. Meanwhile, we provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security, reduce bullying and provide a greater sense of campus safety allowing students and teachers to focus on learning and instruction.

Who Are Watch D.O.G.S.

Fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, and other father figures serve on campus for one day or many each year under the leadership of a program coordinator. Our program speaks directly to those caregivers and guardians who are statistically less likely to come onto campus to volunteer.

How to Volunteer

*** pay close attention to Fridays. Bullard has a rotating Super Specials schedule. Volunteers will be assigned to grade levels specified in the description. ***

Security is important at Bullard and our volunteers need to stand out. Because of that, we ask that WatchD.OG.S. Volunteers wear the white “Official Watch D.O.G.S. T-Shirt. Those can be ordered here:

WatchDog Short Sleeve order . Your order will be mailed directly to your shipping address provided.

Unable to order a shirt? That’s okay! We just ask that you wear a plain white shirt so you stand out and the staff and students know you are a trusted volunteer there to help in any way!
