Cobb County School District proudly recognizes Mr. Brent Branning as the 2025 CTAE Teacher of the Year!

Mr. Branning, who teaches the Welding and Heavy Equipment Operations pathways at the Cobb Innovation and Technology Academy (CITA), was the unanimous choice of a selection committee made up of  Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) industry partners. According to Mr. Art O’Neill, CCSD CTAE Supervisor, “His portfolio and submission was one of the best the awards show committee has ever seen.”

Dedicated, passionate, and always going the extra mile, Mr. Branning exemplifies the spirit of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education. He invests deeply in his students’ success—not only by leading in the classroom, but also by expanding his own expertise. He currently attends evening courses at Georgia Trade School and recently earned his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to personally drive the Activity bus, ensuring students can participate in Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) competitions and events.
