August 26, 2026 — Harrison High School ranks in the top 50 best public high schools in Georgia for 2026-27, according to the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. The latest ranking reinforces Harrison's place among Cobb’s top high schools.

When looking at schools just in the metro Atlanta area, Harrison moves up the ranking to 34th. Harrison is one of 11 Cobb Schools ranked among Georgia's top 100 high schools.

These rankings are calculated based on college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, graduation rate, college curriculum breadth, and performance among underserved students.  

Not only has Harrison proven to be one of the top schools in the state, but Harrison's recognition extends beyond Georgia, too.

Among more than 27,000 public high schools evaluated nationwide, Harrison ranks No. 1,597. That places Harrison in the top 5.9% of public high schools nationwide. 

The latest state and national rankings reflect Harrison's strong academic record, which includes helping Cobb achieve a record-breaking graduation rate. That is more proof of the high level of achievement families can expect at Harrison and across Cobb Schools.
