Harrison Wrestling Secures Back-to-Back Region Titles

February 5, 2026 — The Harrison High School wrestling program continues its tradition of excellence, capturing both the Region Duals and Region Traditional championships for the second consecutive year under Coach Jeff Crocker. The Hoyas recently sealed the Region Traditional at McEachern High School, further establishing Harrison as one of the region’s premier wrestling programs.
“This team represents what Harrison wrestling is all about,” Crocker said. “This program was built on the tenets of toughness, competitiveness, and hard work. We have some outstanding wrestlers in our region, so this championship means our Hoyas had a lot to overcome. They rose to the occasion and showed they have solidified their place in Harrison’s legacy.”
Crocker’s connection to the program runs deep. A former Harrison wrestler and graduate, he returned to his alma mater with a clear vision to restore and elevate the program’s tradition. His firsthand
experience as a Hoya has helped foster a strong sense of identity and pride within the team.
Harrison Athletic Director Wes Ellis praised both the athletes and the coaching staff following the championship performance.
“I am extremely proud of this team and what they have been able to accomplish these past two years,” Ellis said. “Coach Crocker and his staff have worked hard to cement the legacy of Harrison Wrestling.”
Winning both the Region Duals and Region Traditional titles highlights the program’s balance of depth and individual excellence. The Duals championship reflects team unity across all weight classes, while the Traditional title showcases individual performances that contribute to the overall team score. Securing both titles in consecutive years underscores the program’s consistency and competitive strength.
Senior leadership has played a key role in this success. Jayce Salvemini, the region champion at 165 pounds, reflected on the team’s journey.
“Nothing in life is promised, and I feel like this win is the culmination of all our hard work and overcoming adversity,” Salvemini said.
Fellow senior Ryan Carroll, the region champion at 126 pounds, added, “I’ve found that when you change your attitude, you change your outcome. I’m very thankful for every opportunity my team and I have been given.”
As the postseason continues, the Harrison wrestling team will join other Cobb County high schools as they advance to the state sectionals, representing the district at the next stage of competition.
