Mrs. Kittrell is beginning her third year as the Support & Services Administrator (SSA) at Harrison High School, bringing approximately 14 years of experience, dedication, and passion for supporting students with specialized needs. Her career in special education began as a paraprofessional at Hollydale Elementary, where she worked in the Special Needs Preschool program and the K-2 Autism classroom. Through these early experiences, she developed a strong foundation in student-centered instruction, individualized supports, and building meaningful relationships with students and families.

Mrs. Kittrell transitioned into the classroom teacher role at Nicholson Elementary, where she taught in the Autism program and supported students across all grade levels. She later transferred to Bullard Elementary, closer to home, where she spent four years teaching in both Autism and shared teaching classrooms. These experiences strengthened her understanding of diverse learning needs and the importance of creating inclusive, supportive environments where every student can thrive.

After years in the classroom, Mrs. Kittrell moved into a program support specialist role, where she supported seven schools across the west side of the district. In this role, she expanded her knowledge of specialized instruction, behavior supports, alternate curriculum, compliance, and programming while collaborating with educators, administrators, students, and families. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for leadership and supporting teachers and teams in providing high-quality instruction and services for students with disabilities.

Mrs. Kittrell then served as the Special Education Administrator at Frey Elementary and Durham Middle School for two years before joining the Harrison High School community. One of the greatest joys of her career has been watching the students she has taught and supported grow throughout the years. Seeing students continue their journeys into high school, celebrating their accomplishments, and continuing to build relationships with students and families is what makes her work so rewarding.

Although Mrs. Kittrell did not grow up in the West Cobb area, her family has deep roots in the community. Durham Middle School was built on her great-grandparents’ farm, making her connection to the area especially meaningful.

Outside of school, Mrs. Kittrell enjoys spending time with her husband, Keith, and their three children: William (senior), Evelyn (6th grade), and Margaret (3rd grade). She loves spending time outdoors through camping and hiking, getting lost in a good book, and cheering on her children and the Harrison Hoya Nation. Mrs. Kittrell is honored to serve the Harrison community and looks forward to continuing to support students, staff, and families as they work together to help every student reach their full potential.
