Amie comes to Harrison with 19 total years of experience in education. She began her career at East Paulding High School as a special education teacher and head volleyball coach prior to joining the staff at Allatoona as an English teacher when it opened in 2008, where she served in a variety of teaching and coaching roles.  She moved into administration in 2012, and took over as athletic director at Allatoona 2017. Amie brings 12 total years of experience in administration serving in various roles to the Harrison team.

Amie is a native of Jacksonville, Alabama but has made the Cobb area home for the last 22 years. She attended Jacksonville State University on a volleyball scholarship where she earned a bachelor's degree in communications. After a brief career working in public relations for Turner Broadcasting, Amie returned to school to earn a master’s in education, and later an Ed. S from Kennesaw State University. She is currently in her final year of the PhD program at Auburn University and will defend her dissertation in the spring of 2025.

Amie and her husband John have three children, Rhett, Grant, and Rhys. John is also in education, serving as an assistant principal and athletic director at Woodland High School in Bartow County. Amie is excited for a change and to join the Harrison faculty and staff.
