Dr. Wesley Ellis is the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Harrison High School, where he is proudly entering his fifth year serving the Hoya community. In 2025, he was honored as the Cobb County Athletic Director of the Year, and under his leadership, Harrison's Athletic Department earned the prestigious Cobb Cup, recognizing excellence across the school's athletic programs.

A lifelong West Cobb resident, Dr. Ellis was born in Powder Springs and is a proud graduate of McEachern High School. He continued his education at Shorter University on a baseball scholarship, earning his bachelor's degree before pursuing a career in education. Most recently, he completed his Doctor of Education in School Improvement at the University of West Georgia.

Before joining Harrison High School, Dr. Ellis served as an AP Social Studies teacher and baseball coach at Hillgrove High School, where he developed a passion for helping students succeed both in the classroom and through athletics.

Dr. Ellis has been married to his wife, Christina, for 15 years, and together they have two daughters, Averi (13) and Ansley (10). As both an educator and a lifelong member of the West Cobb community, he is deeply committed to supporting students, building meaningful relationships, and fostering a culture of excellence. Dr. Ellis considers it a true blessing to serve the students, staff, families, and community of Harrison High School.
